Generally asking that you just be decent people, or make your asks exaggerated/obviously part of the bit you're building if you're going a certain direction. If I catch even a whiff of genuine bigotry, though, you're out pal.

Hi, welcome to the blog! When addressing me, just call me Pine; if you want to call me Pine in a RP ask, just note that somehow so I understand. I am 24, so please keep this in mind when interacting! My ooc tags are ooc, txt, and art (which I post my art under, obviously, so it may feature RP stuff.) OOC is sort of the catch-all?
I have an AO3 where you can see what fics I'm working on/have written.
Here's various versions of the media and how Hinged I am about them (answer: not very)
Movie: Least favorite Scott/iteration in general; fuck does it have some good lines though. Damnit. (I really do like a lot of aspects of it, but it IS my least favorite.)
Comics: 4? rereads down, favorite version; currently collecting panels for those with requests or questions relative to them (Partway through 6, it just took a backseat)
Show: Watched four times(?) in full, partway through another run! (And set to collect Kim screencaps from episode 3!) Contender for favorite version, but has a lot of flaws, I will admit. (Also, begging for a "They Dated" extended cut from someone, please- I'd draw something for you maybe--)
Game: Very fun! I've got notes on most of the item stats for anyone that needs them.

All good! I deliberately hadn't posted the initial ask, so you were missing context to begin with. The previous anon had sent in a warning about a specific user who they suspected might be a pedophile. They were asking me to put people on alert since I have a blog specific to the fandom with a fair bit of activity and a following. Upon reviewing the user in question's blog, I believe them to be a minor- however, they do appear to support pedophiles (and zoophiles, among other things,) according to one post I saw. I'm obviously not jazzed about any of that, however, given that they are still a minor, (assuming the age they have listed is their real age,) I believe it to be highly inappropriate of me, as a 24 year old, to put them on blast. Given the circumstances, I also feel uncomfortable being the one to try and reach out to see if I can make them reconsider these views, or if they are currently safe themself. (Or, best case scenario, they could be a bait blog where they're trying to lure acting pedophiles in so they can report them- I don't think that's what's happening here, but if it was, I wouldn't want to blow their cover.)

#the potential minor in question also has mental health issues that I do not feel like I could properly navigate if they're suffering +#+any symptoms currently. so again I really don't feel like putting them on blast or anything#trying to figure out how to word this. obviously I do not fw pedophilia and pedophiles who don't see anything wrong with their attraction +#+ to children. it sickens me very literally. but I don't want to push minors who are open and accepting of these things further into the +#+arms and spaces of people like that- I'd rather they feel safe chilling here so that they may come to reconsider/reevaluate the way they +#+view some of these things. does that make sense? hope it does; I'm Very Tired rn#ooc#txt#anon#asks#editing in this tag rq. i obviously under no circumstances fuck w zoophilia or zoophiles either. yall are fucking nasty. just be monster +#+fuckers like normal people

It's fine to send this kind of ask, but I'm not especially keen on putting people on blast without concrete evidence, personally? I did scroll through their blog a little bit to try and gauge a vibe and have been left rather... confused, but I think the user in question is, themself, a minor? Which is not to say that they may have reblogged that unintentionally- there are minors who use or encourage use of the "MAP" (this will always be Multi Animator Project in my mind) flags, unfortunately- but that I don't think they're an adult, at the very least. (Unless they consider themself one via age of consent laws, which. Is a whole can of worms I'm unqualified and unwilling to touch.)

Tumblr is sort of the site of modern witch hunts and always has been, so the peddling of warnings and suspect information about a given user isn't uncommon- and I'm extremely hesitant to participate in that sort of thing, as false accusations- both purposeful and accidental- have ruined lives over the many years I've lurked on this accursed website. I'd need something a bit more credible than what we see displayed here- especially because they very well might be *younger* than Knives, even, assuming I've understood what I gleaned over at least.

I understand your concerns, though- do stay vigilant about this sort of thing, definitely! It's always good to keep a watchful eye out for suspect posts like that, especially since we've got this weird age range on tumblr that lets us all mingle sort of age-free, for a lack of better phrasing. (I mean we all kind of blog and, like, sure there are posts or blogs where the user's age is obvious, but there are plenty of blogs you'd expect to be run by someone in a given age range only to be completely floored when you learn how old they Really are in either direction.)
