internal crisis

i keep forgetting to open commissions--i'm giving myself a deadline of february 10th to at least post my ko-fi commissions page here

here's what i have so far! i still need to add portrait-sized options. but im offering two styles: with line art, and lineless.

i'll make a more professional post later, but so far i'm opening up two commission slots at a time. To be safe, turnaround is listed as taking up to two or three weeks.

i purposely didn't put a limit on how many free props you can add to said commission. i am trusting that no one is going to go crazy. if you'd like to add a background to your piece, that exists as a separate add-on.

You know, with all the trouble over the live action Snow White remake and how long it's actually taken to make it, it would have been the perfect opportunity for another studio to make a film about Adriana Caselotti, who voiced Snow White but wasn't even told she was working on a full length film and only realised it at the premiere, was paid only $970 (roughly $21,217 in 2024) for the job, wasn't credited for the role and basically had her career in films ruined before it even started, because dear old Walt Disney refused to let her take other roles: 'I'm sorry, but that voice can't be used anywhere. I don't want to spoil the illusion of Snow White.'

#i mean the boring answer is that many people go to college here and experience the epic highs and lows of being late teens early 20s. #the less boring answer is it's the molasses curse ( @burins)

I have a trans man story about this.

Since I’m pre-t I still have my period but since I’m socially out as trans I use men’s bathrooms. One time at the college the family bathroom was taken and so I went into the men’s room to do my business. I tried opening the little pad as quietly as I could manage, but the rustling and ripping sound still happened. I froze in silence because I didn’t know if the other guy in the men’s room heard it or not.

Then after a little bit of silence I hear…

“Who has a bag of chips?”

And in a panic I just whisper back to him “I’m not sharing.”

Then I hear a huff before he finished his business and left.

a few doors down from me my neighbors have a squirrel bar nailed to the tree in front of the sidewalk, not exactly this but something like this:

it's been there for years and they never "stock" it so it's just sitting there. anyway, i thought it would be cute to make a little squirrel out of sculpey and leave it on one of the stools in the middle of the night. i also made a little sculpey beer bottle with its own label.

it lasted exactly one day and now it is gone. it didn't fall off, i stuck it on with tape. what do you think happened to it? your most fantastical and wrong answers only, please
