I just realized something. A Plumeria is a type of flower. These types of flowers are typically yellow and pink. OMG. This makes sense now. (for those who aren’t understanding, there is a Pokemon Sun and Moon character named Plumeria. Her hair is pink and yellow). Also, when looking into the info about the flower, the flower produces a “poisonous, milky sap”,  therefore explaining why Plumeria in Pokemon, uses poison types. It is typically a Hawaiian flower as well, according to what I looked up (also makes sense, since the Alola region has a resemblance to Hawaii).
