alison he/it. non binary femme lesbian, 21. i like dolls, films, blood, cute animals and juno (my pup). be aware that i ship fitzcest and sometimes reblog related kink stuff, such as siscon and cnc. dni if you're uncomfortable with any of it or if you're a minor.

imma say something controversial but found footage horror when done by people with a gigantic budget suck. found footage horror has and will always belong to amateur horror directors with their cheap camera, friends as their actors, and some random location

someone just said i’m gatekeeping poverty 💀 from billion dollar studios ? absolutely

since i’ve been told to “grow up, this isn’t how you fight capitalism” (when did i say i was fighting capitalism??) let me explain something

big budget found footage movies lose their effectiveness when they’re given nice cameras that show no shakiness, no making you feel ill as it shakes up and down, no blurry scenes. why mcpherson tapes, blair witch project, or even the last broadcast feel so effective is because they feel genuine. they truly felt like someone found a camcorder in the woods and is showing the internet what they found.

amateur filmmaking should always be at the center of cinema. i’m not saying that doesn’t mean you can’t like big budget movies, they’ll always exist and they can be good and entertaining. but amateur is where we got carnival of souls, the texas chain saw massacre, and halloween.

"damn I'm crying over an insect" "why am I having such strong feelings over how the sky looks" "it's weird how happy this small thing made me feel" THAT'S BECAUSE YOU LIVE HERE!!!! you live on this earth. everything all the time is an experience, no matter how common or mundane. this world is unique. so are its small moments. it is good to enjoy a tiny thing. you love the world even at its smallest scale.
