A party of Crows. A murder. Leo had a lot to explain to Emmrich about his lifestyle in a very short time. A party thrown by house Cantori was very different from the galas Leo was certain Emmrich attended in Nevarra. Leo had been witness to one, a bunch of standing around with wine and finger foods and chatting about opinions and ideas. That was not at all what a party in Treviso was like. He knew Emmrich wasn’t exactly a prude, but the poor man deserved at least a warning. He hadn’t seemed entirely phased by any of the mentions of possible sex or violence, but Leo would still take care to keep Emmrich close.

The couple entered the Cantori Diamond, and the mood was immediately set. The casino floor was dim and any light cast was consumed in smoke. Music was loud and fast, but Emmrich seemed alright by it. Leo still slipped his hand in Emmrich’s and led him to the bar.

The tall elf looked as if he was going to cry and Leo certainly was. Emmrich walked over to see what all the fuss was about, and Manfred quickly followed. Before Emmrich could ask who was at the door, Leo hugged the elf tight. He openly sobbed as the two men embraced.

“What are you doing here?” Leo asked and kissed Ewan’s cheek aggressively, and Ewan groaned with protest.

“Leonardo, Maker take you, let me go!” He shouted, half annoyed, but with a little laughter behind his voice.

“I’m never letting you go,” Leo said sweetly right against the elf’s cheek.

“Liar.”

“What, you don’t miss me?” Leo asked and sniffed, wiping his face and Ewan flashed a big grin.
