UM GUYS. I JUST NOTICED A CRAZY ISSUE W THE TUMBLR UPDATE.

YOU CAN SEE THE ICONS OF ANONS SOMETIMES.

The way I was able to recognize several anons in one of my inboxes bc of this error. Oh my god. Guys. This isn’t supposed to happen.

Weighing in to say:

YES, I SEE THIS ON MOBILE. HOWEVER I DO **NOT** THINK IT'S SHOWING THE ANON'S REAL IDENTITY.

The profile pictures I see next to anon asks are profile pictures that belong to other, non-anon asks in my ask box also. Some info

I think the bug is the inbox INCORRECTLY attributing anons to neighboring, logged-in asks.

Which is still a bad bug! Considering it makes it look like a long-time follower of mine sent me a spam ask.

And is worse if, say, one of these was anon hate.

But it's NOT the anon's real identity. It's a neighboring ask asker's identity

So if you have anon hate in your inbox that looks like it's attributed to your dear friend, who sends you lovely asks all the time, it was Not them.

CONFIRMED THE BUG IS INCORRECT ATTRIBUTION.

The pictured icon belongs to @watchingforcomets who sent me a nice ask about nail polish yesterday which I have not yet answered!

Was a glitch a while back where it would show a wrong blog after you'd answered the ask too. Functional webbed site

okay I'm gonna need you to explain what "thawing" a cheese means to you. is it bringing a cheese out lf the fridge and wait for it to be room temperature? is it heating it up so it's gooey and soft? i need to understand

No the cheese isn't frozen or cold. I don't know what other way to describe it as other than thawing? It makes a noise occasionally and when it stops it's usually done thawing

What actual change happens to the cheese after it “thaws”

it changes from an un-thawed to a thawed state

it's ready

What process are you doing to thaw cheese. where do you keep the cheese such that it's not thawed. Which physical properties of the cheese change between thawed and unthawed

I thaw my cheese, but only if I get a block of the stuff, the sliced stuff is better for melting.

also this might be important: what type of cheese are we talking about. cottage cheese? hard cheese? fake cheese (cheddar)? because i think i might be picturing the wrong type of cheese

no like I said before you don't freeze the cheese! That just dries it out! And the type of cheese doesn't matter. You. Still. Thaw. It.

What I don't understand is the PROCESS. like what is the ORIGINAL STATE OF THE CHEESE. is it just the state it is in when you buy it in the store. or is it cold. or is it room temperature. or is it warm.

and what is the exact process?? microwaving?? warm water??? just leaving it outside in room temp?????

please I seriously need to understand the PROCESS the cheese undergoes. if step-by-step instructions need to be spelt out then so be it but i really REALLY wanna know what's going on

Unfortunately I can't. I'm at work right now, and I'm heading out on a trip in 2 days so I already cleared out my fridge so nothing'll spoil while I'm gone. But trust me I'd absolutely do that if I could. This is really frustrating and I GUARANTEE if you all saw it you'd immediately recognize what thawing cheese is. I seriously think I'm just unintentionally using a niche regional name for it which is causing all this confusion

If you live in Wisconsin make sure to vote for Brad Schimel in the Supreme Court Elections on April 1st (this Tuesday). He's running against a far left judge and if he wins, the Republicans take control of the WI supreme court. If he loses, WI will redistrict before the midterms and remove two Republican seats, which will seriously threaten the slim majority Trump has in congress. *sigh* The term Protestant either refers to specifically those groups that broken off from Catholicism in the 16th and 17th centuries, OR it refers to a general set of theological beliefs shared by various non-Catholic denominations. It cannot be both.

If you use the first definition, it is utterly useless in discussions of theology or practice because of the vast differences between those groups on major doctrinal issues.

If you use the second definition, Lutherans don’t fit in that category because we are far closer to Catholics than Protestants on many issues, especially Communion, Baptism, and Confession and Absolution.

Every time I discuss this with people, they start by using the second definition (“Protestants believe X” or “Protestants don’t understand X”) and then switch to the first definition as soon as I say Lutherans don’t fit in that category. You gotta pick one and stick with it.

That said I understand the limitation of poll options. It just limits the usefulness of the resulting data. Lutherans use the Nicene Creed just as Catholics do, so any Lutheran who has been properly catechized should be answering the same as any properly catechized Catholic on this one.
