tennessee state troopers arrested an 80 year old activist and physically carried her out of the tennessee senate hearing room. because she was advocating for public education in a state that, like the rest of its neighbors in the south, is consistently at the very bottom of the list in terms of literacy and high school graduation.

call me crazy but i think in the very same state where dolly parton herself said "enough is enough" and now personally funds the educations of dozens of students each year because high school graduation rates were so low, physically removing an elderly woman with the use of six (6) cops simply because she was peacefully protesting the undermining of public education by the state GOP is uhhhhhh. not a good look.
