CHAPTER 1 Nightmare.
Dimitri was going to college soon, and was trying his best to spend as much time with Nil as possible. Currently, Nil was sleeping over at Dimitri’s house so he didn’t have to be alone in the forest like usual. When Nil was kicked out of his family’s house, he had to live in the forest and now has horrible abandonment issues. His mental health was already shitty, so now it’s just worse knowing that the one person that has ever cared for him in his life is leaving in a few weeks. While they were sleeping, Nil woke up from a nightmare that was about Dimitri going off to college and him being left alone in this shitty ass town where everyone hated him, everyone thought he was a freak…he was nothing without Dimitri. Nil pulled his legs to his chest as his eyes teared up, the fear of be alone all over again had finally gotten to him and he broke down sobbing. Dimitri woke up to the sound of Nil sniffing, so he sat up and rubbed his eyes groggily.
“Nil…? Dude why are you still up?” Dimitri asked, sleepily as he rubbed his eyes.
“N-Nothing…fuck off Dee..” Nil mumbled, wiping the tears from his eyes before Dimitri could see them, Dimitri frowned slightly, tilting Nil’s head up to see his face.
“Dude can you actually talk to me? Are you okay?..” Dimitri sighed after he spoke.
“OF COURSE IM NOT OKAY! FUCK!” Nil snapped angrily at Dimitri, “you’re leaving me here all alone, and then I’ll have no one! I-I’m nothing without you! You think I’m fucking okay!? GODDAMNIT!” He yelled angrily. Of course, he wasn’t truly angry at Dimitri, it was just the only way he knew how to react in these types of situations. Dimitri’s eyes widened in shock as his best friends’s words hit him like a bullet.
“Fuck..Nil, I never knew you felt that way…you never talk about your feelings, how..how was I supposed to know…?” Dimitri stuttered slightly, he put his hand on Nil’s back, and rubbed it softly as Nil sobbing against him. “You know I can’t read your mind..dummy, just…talk to me sometimes, okay?” Dimitri said as he continued rubbing Nil’s back to confront Nil without scaring him and having him become more closed off. After a couple of minutes of silence Nil spoke up..
“Why are you still here…” Nil mumbled, the sound of defeat was heard in his voice. “Everyone in this shitty town loves you..they only have hate for me..” Nil sighed as he wiped his eyes, and looked up at Dimitri. “I’m scared okay? I fucking said it! I-Im fucking scared of being alone again..I-i can’t..I-“ He broke down again. His small body shaking with sobbing as his body went limp against Dimitri. Dimitri gently pulled him into a hug.
“I’m sorry…” Dimitri mumbled before pulling away to look at Nil and He gently cupped his face with one of his hands. “Hey how about this..This week will be only about us okay? We can get 2am slushes, or we can get high with Momo and journey while playing video games..like old times…just until I have to leave, let’s make the best of it, alright?” Dimitri said as he looked into Nil’s red and puffy eyes.
“F-Fine…I still hate you though” He smirked softly at Dimitri through his blurred tears, he wiped them off quickly.
“Sure you do..dude” Dimitri chuckled and ruffled Nil’s messy dark hair. “Come on let’s get back to bed..it’s late and you need to sleep before those eye bags of your get darker..” He said and laughed.
“Dude…fuck you.” Nil said as laid back down onto the bed, Dimitri rolled his eyes and laid next to him. Nil rolled over and Dimitri smirked before wrapping his arms around his waist. Nil tensed up before slowly relaxing into Dimitri’s arms and falling asleep, getting the sleep he very desperately needed.
“Hm..cute..” Dimitri mumbled before nuzzling his face into the back of Nil’s neck and finally falling asleep with Nil all cozy in his arms. This was probably the best sleep Nil has gotten in years..
