Sideblog for my writting drabbles, mostly whump, and mostly early drafts. Constructive criticism appreciated!

Thinking about a human unconscious and bleeding and broken and being turned into a vampire to save its life without consulting it. Thinking about the decision to turn it being partially made by another human. Thinking about that human offering themselves up to be its thrall as they're the reason it needs blood in the first place, and how could they let it starve anyway? Thinking about increased vampire lifespans, and outliving your thrall, your lover. Watching them grow old, and sick. Starving yourself so they can keep their own blood and recover. Begging them to let you turn them. "Didn't you ever think that maybe I don't want to be alone anymore either?" But the human's right, you can't save everybody. Or maybe this one's immune somehow. Thinking about being saved but being unable to save the ones you love.

Thinking about your autonomy being ripped away for your own good, but the decision maker wouldn't make that decision for themselves.

Thinking about muzzles for vampires. Thinking about one vampire being ordered to muzzle another. Thinking about retractable fangs and a gag that keeps them pressed down. Thinking about fangs that come forward automatically when the vampire is stressed, especially if it's freshly turned, and that being read as aggression. Thinking about forcibly retracted fangs pressing painfully on the bit as the vampire has a panic attack. Thinking about a scared vampire allowing their fangs to be gently pushed back as the gag is inserted, because it would hurt if they thrashed.

Exploring a new fbaf au (vampires) in my head but I can't ramble about it because the new mobile update. Sucks ass and I can't See what I'm Writing after two paragraphs so I Guess I'll do that from my computer but Christ Alive

finally, someone for tumblr

[Image description: Screenshot that reads: St. Julian the Hospitaller is the patron saint of clowns and circus workers, innkeepers, fiddle players, jugglers, childless people, and murderers. End description.]

looks like his feast day is in TWO DAYS

happy this guy's day, everybody

Exploring the reluctant whumper and whumping the caretaker tropes through Ciarán and Julian in fbaf dragon au.

~~~
"Listen to me, Ciarán. You have to, it is your job. Your father and the court all expect you to be able to command me. Order me around in front of them, have me kneel at your side during meetings the way your father does your da."
"But how he treats him is horrible, I don't want to be him!"
"I know, I know. But you need the courts approval when you succeed him. If you fail to master one slave how will they believe you can master all the lands and people your father has?"
"I hate this. I don't want to hurt you."
"I know. But think of it this way, I would so much prefer it be you than him. Because I know you are not doing it to be cruel, but that is what the court needs to see to follow you. It is what your father needs to see to not think you are weak for having your first few years being spent around humans."
Ciarán pulled him close. "Just promise me to tell me if I go too far."
And undermine your authority in front of the court? "Of course," Julian lied.
"Just continue your studies, make friends in high places. I will handle protecting your da in the meantime. This will all be over before you know it. Once you are commanding armies yourself, you won't need to treat me like a toy. You will have them on your might. But for now, trust me, kid. I can take it."
Kevin trusts rather readily and rather fiercely early on. He's not completely naive but he does have a black and white way of thinking about character, that if he sees you doing good things and generally being a good person, he doesn't like to consider the possibility of you turning on him, because at that point he wouldn't see a reason to turn on you. John especially hits him hard because they ran missions together.
Hatchlings Ensnared
Free Birds and Fiddlers: Dragon AU
cw: Non-human whumper/whumpees, human whumpee, recapture, suffocation, lightly implied noncon at the end, magical brands, lying to save another
Kevin knelt, his hands roughly tied behind his back, fighting against the dragon who held him in place. The cloth gag in his mouth was soaked, and prevented him from crying out in a legible manner.
The hatchlings shouldn't be here. They couldn't take their father and his army on, they needed to flee, they aren't ready-
They weren't ready. Even fully grown they wouldn't have lasted much longer before all being pinned to the ground.
"Only slaves and dogs stand to eat"
A phrase that's been ringing in my head lately which I first heard on reddit years ago. Idk if it's an actual turn of phrase in the right circles, or if it was just this one guy being really poetic about his opinion workers should be given time to sit and eat for lunch, but it's stuck with me. So, whump prompt.
Theres so many pretty irish names, I need to narrow down 6 from a list of 100, and I'm mostly there I'm just stuck on the youngest's name.
Fiadh (fee-a) Fiadh is an old Irish word meaning “wild,” in the sense of a wild animal. It comes from the word for "wildlife," fiadhúrla.
or
Aoife (ee-fa) This name means beautiful, radiant or joyful, and likely derives from the Gaelic word ‘aoibh’ meaning ‘beauty’ or ‘pleasure.’ In Irish mythology, Aoife is known as the greatest woman warrior in the world. She gave birth to the mythological hero Cuchulainn’s only son, Connlach, and was the daughter of a king of Connacht. Legend has it, her marriage was arranged by St. Patrick himself.
Like those are just two perfect names for a baby dragon. (Older sisters already decided on is Gráinne and Róisín)
Kevin shivered as the blankets were pulled back and a weight settled into the mattress behind him, sinking him into its ensnaring claws. A tail curled around an ankle to pull apart his fetal position, his arms repositioned from where they shielded his face to be pinned to his chest.
He was so tired, it wasn't hard to let himself go limp in its clutches. It was easier this way. This way, it would let him adjust his position just enough to not stress his body in the act of laying still.
Maybe tonight it was just as tired as he was. Maybe tonight it would let him get some real sleep.
