While I understand the power fantasy of Isekai, I wholeheartedly believe it's potential is being wasted by catering to said power fantasy.

Think about it. You fucking died, probably a painful death where your last thoughts were nothing but pain and anguish -

Suddenly it's all gone. You shoot up thinking it was a horrible nightmare, but when you go to look around your room, everything is wrong.

You're not home, you're surrounded by strangers telling you that you're a chosen hero meant to save them.

Imagine the fear. Imagine the mental toll. Imagine seeing your reflection for the first time since your death, and it's a stranger staring back at you.

All you have left are your memories, and they fade away as the years go by.

Give me this kind of Isekai, or give me death.

Okay, so I was talking to a German person who was unaware that Heisenberg was German, because they played the game in German.

So they just read the notes as normal, completely missing the context clues because in their version, it doesn't exist. So it's got me thinking about all the little details that we overlook because they aren't necessarily important to the plot.

Like, I know a few words in other languages, so I picked up on the German names pretty quick, but what did I miss with the other Lords because of the language?

So the Minecraft movie doesn't take itself seriously at all, and it feels like a cringy fanfiction. Some parts were funny, it was cool to see the cameos and Easter eggs, but I'd give it a 3/10

Endlessly diabolical how you can't say words like rape and suicide uncensored without either being criticised by idiots or punished by conglomerates.

It's not r*pe, it's rape. It's not su*cide, it's suicide. Not unalive, dead. The backbone needs to be reintroduced en masse because softening the blow of these concepts with advertising language does absolutely nothing but allow people unaffected by them to feel not even a sting of what they can do, prompting inaction.

And it's been proven that on certain websites, you don't even face a repercussion for using the words as they are. People just started censoring themselves because they feared the potential lack of views and likes and followers which is so nasty itself.

the thing about being nonbinary is that you really do start to forget that other people have such strict walls around what is and isn’t allowed for genders. i thought we all agreed that we made that up. could you climb out of the cave real quick and feel the sunshine for a minute.

i love finding poetry in the mundane, and yesterday i stumbled upon something that just hits that spot

So, my partner has an old phone- It served them for many years now, but it has one issue: Charging it is hard. Their current charger is hanging on by a thread (literally), and can barely do its job. The phone and the charger came together: They've never used another charger for said phone.

Now, they've tried to replace the charging cord several times. But it doesn't matter how much they've searched what damned specific charger the phone uses, none of them work. They finally decided to bring it to a phone shop and ask what should they use.

The guy at the shop looked at the phone for a bit, and explained: "The port itself is broken. The charger you have works with this phone because they've mutually broken each other into the same shape, in a way that no other charger is shaped. The port itself has corroded in a way that only accepts the charger that shaped it like that in the first place."

And while this is of course a frustrating situation for my partner, I feel like there's a metaphor here. I could write a goddamn story about this. These two half-broken old things have been together for so long they've destroyed each other in a way that keeps them from working with anything else. They've hurt each other in a way that barely keeps them functioning together, and have been rendered useless with literally anything else.

This too is toxic yuri to me-

This is true... Apart from one password...

My steam account got hacked by a Russian cheese lover once

So our of spite my password is around 500 digits

And... It's not words either

It's me, slamming my head, against my keyboard -literally-

really hilarious and unsexy when hetero romantasy authors refer to love interests as males and females. you sound like david attenborough narrating a special documentary on two turtles humping in the mud
