The bathhouse was divine! Large tubs filled with steaming, floral scented waters while fresh orchids floated all around her as she soaked and read through the priestessโs journal. After only a few hours under Mitsunari's tutelage, the classical handwriting of the journal was already much easier to read.
Maika began training as priestess shortly after her sixteenth birthday when her abilities awakened in a very non-explosive mannerโ unlike Haruka's. Maika just woke up one morning and could see, hear, and talk to departed spirits that presented themselves to her. Her parents dropped her off at the village temple that morning and picked her up in the afternoon like a first day of school! Maikaโs lovely script continued telling and working through her teenage feelings as her learning and temple responsibilities grew. The normalcy!
