Also I think I’d be funny to think he just calls Cross “Applesause” because of how nicknames can evolve and change over time. Like he probably called hims “Criss-Cross” at first and then slowly over time into “Criss-Cross Applesause” then a while later shortened down to “Applesause” and maybe after even longer he just calls him “Sause”

Idk why but I love thinking about small stuff like this, thinking about and coming up with small fluffy details just make me happy

Going to sob because Cecil Palmer is so so kind to the person who wants him dead. Because Cecil is so kind. In Triptych when young Kevin asked for reassurance, Cecil lied so he wouldn't feel pain, and now Cecil is telling the truth even though Kevin could hurt him. The parallels to how Cecil spoke to Kevin in Triptych and how he's speaking to him now as The Boy, the parallels between holding a cat to save Night Vale and holding a knife to threaten its voice, just the PARALLELS, everything is so well done. Something is going to kill you someday Cecil, and it will involve a mirror.

Well, I've hoped this moment would come for 10 years. Welcome to Night Vale was the first podcast I ever listened to, and as a scrappy little singer-songwriter in college I wanted nothing more than to someday have my music featured as the weather.

Two years ago I submitted a song I'd written back in 2014 from an album I'd released of old demos and music I'd written when I was just getting started. (I felt a desire to preserve my early music after losing my even earlier songs when Myspace migrated their servers and destroyed much of the music that had been posted there, including all of mine.)

Two days ago I found out my song had been chosen for the 12 year anniversary episode that released today. What a wild decade. Back when I wrote this song, I never would have thought that 10 years later I'd be composing music and doing sound design full time for video games. Thank you for picking my music, and thank you to anyone who's listened to & supported my music for the past 10 years.
