I’m pretty sure Rise Raph was mutated into a toddler because holy hell is he huge.

Now we have Warden Raph!

Yes, this boy is blind, i have denyed him sight. Though his powerful sense of hearing and smell do give him a kind of echolocation ability (his echolocation isnt too precise though- he can really only make out general shapes). Kind of like Toph from Avatar. This does mean he has 360 degree "vision" -so no sneaking up on him!

Unlike proper Wardens, he cant cause blindness simply by being around him, instead he can cause it through touch. (voluntarily too- hes not gonna be accidentally blinding his brothers every time he hugs them- im not that mean)

He doesnt have the laser-thing that Wardens have either (mostly because i only just remembered that existed just now). So no lasers for him.

He is as strong as a warden though!

And his heartbeat is heckin loud, he is not built for stealth. He can make it loud enough that you can hear it in your stomach, its one hell of an intimidation tactic.

Yes he does grow mushrooms, yes Mikey does cook with them.

Unfortunately, he is not immune to lava like normal wardens (ive had to nerf him quite a bit- can you tell?)

His shell is also kinda squishy (because of the skulk) and so is an excellent pillow.

A WARDEN RAPHIE BOY?! THATS SO SICK

The Shattering of the Swords

I may be reading too much into it, but, Kavaxas shattered Leo’s swords with HIS FACE. The swords he used through his childhood and teen years had to be replaced.

A ninja’s weapons are an extension of themselves. To me it’s more than replacing an object. The shattering of Leo’s katanas signifies the end of his journey through childhood and being a student. Replacing them signifies a transition from being a student to being a teacher. He is now not only the head of the Hamato Clan, but, also their Sensei.

These are also the katanas Leo used to take down The Shredder.

Time to take my conspiracy theory to the public.

See how Leo had 2 straps in front, and two scabbards in the back during s5? In the flashback sequence from Mutant Apocalypse, Leo has only one strap in front and only one sword/scabbard in back.

Meaning: at some point post-s5 and before Mutant Apocalypse, Leo either lost or broke one of his swords. And not only that, but he refused to replace his remaining sword and instead switched to being a single-blade wielder.

The swords were his last gift from his father, and he couldn’t bear to let go of what he had left.

@d1sc0rd1a brought up a good point that if Leo’s s5 katana are different lengths, then what can we gather symbolically based on which sword was lost?

(After an hour of searching I did discover that the katana are indeed different lengths and thus moved on with the analysis.)

While it would be impossible to figure out which sword was lost since,,, you don’t have it there to compare the size with the remaining sword (and we were given such a short view of the sword, and the size difference is very small anyway), I still think it can be rather fun to headcanon which one was lost. Here is a series of takes that I feel like sums it up well:

Credit: my sister

“If he lost the big one then that’s like how he lost Splinter. But if he lost the short one, that’s like how he lost himself”

Credit: me

So my final hc/theory is that Leo list the shoto, both for practicality reasons and because it means he lost his defense, while becoming the defense of his family.

Raph's mad at the world. Time to take it out on Leo. Everybody needs an outlet.

Please don’t vote for him. Omega should not be placed in any true position of power. Ever.

I do however recommend going to @tmnt-multiverse-election to enter your nominations! There are so many fun AU’a that deserve a spot in the debate!

Current nominees and the google doc to add more can be found HERE!

OMEGA FTW!
