In Super Mario World, Ninjis return from Super Mario Bros. 2. However, uniquely for enemies in this game, they did not receive any new sprites, instead reusing their NES sprites. In addition, they do not appear in the game's credits.
It is possible that they have been added to the game very late in development, which would explain why no new sprites were made and why no time remained to add them to the credits. They also do not appear in any early sprite sheets from development files, further adding to this possibility.
