Not something I’d like to post, but something I will because I know people that are in this server follow me. This server has been actively called an Unsafe Space and is currently welcoming someone who has been PROVED to make minors uncomfortable and to have been inappropriate with them before.

Our fandom won’t remain as incredible as it is with Servers like this that are uncaring about the actual people in them.

I’ve posted more information and such on Instagram but here’s another personal note from me.

I hoped I would never have to do this, but please don't spread false information about a situation. I never at any point said Hatchetverse was an unsafe space. You're taking my words and twisting them.

Our server IS a safe space and claiming it is not is flat-out lies. Once I got what I asked for, which was evidence I felt was not doctored to hurt someone for no reason, I banned them. They are no longer on the server and will not return now that I know what they are doing is legitimately happening.

We live in a world where bad faith arguments are rampant on the internet, even actors from Starkid have said on Twitter that people will actively try to ruin someone and doctor evidence to plaster a bad name on someone, which is why I wanted to make sure the person accused really was what people were saying. If we truly did believe the victim then what would stop people from playing the victim to slander someone? Also, I thought it was innocent until proven guilty?

We are living in a realm where people will lie to hurt others and spread malicious rumours. Considering your claims about the server have no backing evidence I am surprised people are believing you. Have we truly reached a point where someone can just say something and nobody will question it? At all?

"I never said my server was an unsafe place" Perhaps not directly, but it was heavily implied by your response to this comment

"I never said my server was a safe space." This immediately implies that your server, is in fact, an unsafe space. Now, even if you didn't intend for it to be taken that way, there really isn't any other way it could have been taken differently. and while we're at it, a big thing i want to say here is that it does NOT matter how many people lie about things like this. It is so important to ALWAYS believe the victim no matter what. Because if you assume every single person is lying, then true victims will never get their justice.

In my opinion, real victims will always have had more damage done to them then what a false accusation has done to someone else. This is not me belittling the harm of what being falsely accused can cause, and this is not me saying that it isn't unfair, it is, but when it comes to one or the other than i am always going to stand on the victims side every time so that real victims will have their chance to be given the justice they rightfully deserve. Also, when it comes to the saying "Innocent unless proven guilty" i would usually agree. In fact if this situation had been different i would have been willing to be a bit more skeptical about it, and perhaps have had tried to seek out more information on the matter- but it wasn't. This was about a person who has been accused and shown to display inappropriate behavior with minors.

I personally would never risk even a moments hesitation on removing someone like that. especially when provided with screenshots as we were. Fake or not. I don't care about the persons feelings, or even if they are somehow proven to be innocent in the future. Because it's not about them. Its about protecting minors as a person who is responsible for the space they are in. their safety is and should always be above all else.

Please note, though, that none of this is an attack on you, and i do feel beyond thankful that you did take action on removing them from your server, but i did feel like i had to say something because it was bothering me.

I have no reason to twist anybody’s words, I’m only looking out for a community I care about.
