Might be having another job change soonโ€ฆ

Either gonna go BACK to Cath Lab or maybe take a job at the local State School (supported living center for retarded folks).

This past year being back in ICU has reminded me why I left nights in the first place, and, while my night crew is cool, Dayshift is toxic AF and our boss enables them. Cath Lab, despite the call, was the best job I ever had.

Now the State Schoolโ€ฆ it would be Dayshift 6a-6p, mostly Infirmary, and great pay (much better than I have now), and state benefits, with free insuranceโ€ฆ

That alone makes it tempting. And Iโ€™d be working with some friends from way back in nursing school, with one of my bosses being a former coworker I briefly had a thing withโ€ฆ(weโ€™re still friends, sheโ€™s the one who told me about the job).

Decisions danged decisions.

Sounds like the state gig is the overall better job on paper. Would they let you do a shadow day to get an in person feal of the department? At worst you go back to the cath lab you already know.

Naw, even to do a ONE DAY clinical rotation out there way back in 2008 required a whole full background check lol. I know several people who work there, and heard mixed things overall, but it would be an easy job with great benefits.

But, my dilemma is that I REALLY miss Cath Lab lol, and call ainโ€™t bad as it was when I left a year ago.
