I thought we were over this but for the 100th time: just because you don't support the israeli government, it doesn't mean that you support hamas or hezbollah or iran or the houthis or anything like that. there are actually people who believe in equal rights for all without adhering to any ethno-nationalist religious extremist genocidal group. shocking, I know. maybe a brand new concept for you.

I feel that we have to distinguish between transsexualism (as in medically transitioning) and trans identity.

I don't think that the notion of transgender identity is inherently misogynistic, if divorced from all societal context. It could also be some kind of spiritual claim about oneself, in the sense that you feel it's part of your spirituality to identify with the opposite sex. However, it becomes misogynistic as soon as the notion of "identifying with the opposite sex (or neither sex)" is being filled with meaning, because there is not type of gender identity that is a. meaningful and non-circular and b. not based on gender stereotypes, which are part of patriarchy.

I also personally don't think that the person medically transitioning is necessarily sexist. There might be some sexism (internalised or externally expressed) in the reasoning for a medical transition, but the most important thing in my opinion is how you behave after having made that choice. You are a male who chooses to transition and does not expose himself to women? You don't spout misogynistic lies about your "inner womanhood"? You maybe even fight for women's rights? Then I don't see why you would be any more misogynistic than the general societal misogyny all of us have within ourselves as a consequence of growing up in this wretched society.

Also, the act of calling yourself trans is just a descriptor. What else are you going to call yourself after having had medical intervention to appear as the opposite sex? I guess the only offensive thing would be calling yourself trans if you just dress in a different way, and then it would be offensive to transsexual people and not to all women

Germany at it again :l They have adapted new self-identity laws that make it illegal to misgender people on purpose, and you can be fined up to 10 000 Euros (10 500 USD) if you do so. That's probably one of the reasons as to why the newspapers report the dude as "female". But imagine what had to have gone into this entire story. How many people had to have known. And how it's probable that the guy will die after a couple of years in prison - nothing close to the hell he put the girls through.

And still worse - given Germany's ultra-liberal prostitution laws, it's not improbable that some of the little girls this man violated are still in the sex trade, as childhood abuse experiences make it much more likely for girls to end up in prostitution, and afaik about a third of German prostituted women have been introduced into the sex trade before their 18th birthday. (Look up Elly Arrow's channel on youtube for more info about the situation)
