Just watering my plance
just some observations about shoulder anatomy! requested by someone ^^
Do any of the mods have tips for drawing a full body in side view? I always get it wrong
There’s a really good side view breakdown in Bridgman’s Constructive Anatomy book, however I can’t find it! I did my best to emulate what I know.
If you already have the front view down, it’s a simple thing of translating the proportions over to the side view. One thing that helps me construct the body is using boxes to construct the head, ribs, and pelvis. The shoulder usually sits with bias towards the back, unless the person is slouching or their shoulders are raised in tenseness. I would recommend studying the bone structure of this if you really want an analytical sense of how it works!

two essential skills for artists
“good enough” and “fuck it”
“good enough” is when you are working on something and are happy with most of it but can live with a few imperfections, useful when needing to move on from sketch to inking/coloring or what have you.
“fuck it” is when you absolutely hate what you’re doing every step of the way but you post it anyways, very useful during art blocks.
both are useful to help you move on and not obsess over making it perfect, because art is anything but perfect, even photo realistic artists probably see imperfections that someone else might not catch
these can also be applied to other things in life

Just a Thought
So I have serious self-doubt, right?
I write fanfiction, but don’t get much attention.
I aspire to be like those who make excellent art, fanfiction, AND get attention.
But I’ve never really gotten that kind of attention.
I’ve never been number one.
I’ve always been second place or lower.
I try my best, but I never make it that far.
And then it dawned on me.
What if I’m only meant to try?
What if I’m not meant to make it that far?
What if I’m meant to be a subordinate character?
What if I’m not important?
And then I thought…
Hey dont say that... if you love to do it, then continue on doing it. You’ll get noticed someday bruh. I mean I draw Loads of shit stuff and post it here but I don’t mind if I dont get Notes (Not counting my friends and aunt), I know one day I can be seen as to what I want to be seen one day. And you will be too, okay?
Im sorry... im weird...
