Gongjin is a small coastal village somewhere a little far from the city. There aren’t many things to do there, but the view of the ocean and the mountains subject it to a few tourists sometimes who are looking for an escape, despite the distance.
The way to your settlement from Seoul takes three hours, but you’re not too sure.
During winter, it takes longer than usual for the train to travel, and the walk downhill is challenging with snow heavy on your boots. However, you’re a few months short of the season, and the spring sun allows you for a shorter trip home.
So, it nearly ends up taking two hours and a half for you to reach Gongjin. And when you take the first few steps into your small town, you can’t help but think of how long it’s been since you’ve felt the familiar light breeze that used to greet you every day. Not a lot has changed in those six years. It still looked as beautiful as ever.
A gust of wind greets you as you pass the town hall, alongside the chatter of villagers around you. Behind you, the sun was slowly starting to set by the distant ocean.
On a different day, you could almost remember everything that happened on the route to your house—the wheels of your bike making squeaking noises, the sound of barefoot running, the laughter of two people. Yours and Seungmin’s.

the apartment smelled like faint lavender and the lingering sweetness of the vanilla candle she had burned earlier. a warm, golden haze from the late afternoon sun spilled in through the sheer curtains, pooling on the wooden floors, stretching shadows long and lazy.

kind of similar to jisung, but probably a bit less of a loser (this is said with affection!). like he’s all talk, always teasing and winking and leaving lingering touches, but when it comes to the real thing, his ears are going pink and his eyes are wide and suddenly he doesn’t know what the hell to do with his hands. on your cheeks? on your hips? around your neck? eventually, you have to intertwine your fingers with his, and then he settles, rubbing soft circles into your hand. definitely a slow makeout enthusiast, especially when its quiet in the evening. he loves the intimacy of kissing you, the level of closeness. what a softie.
first kiss...with minho
mingo mingo mingo, my funny little guy. he seems quiet and shy on the surface, but i know (you know lee know) that he will be grabbing your ass the first time you kiss. he can’t help it! it just felt right! and he’s kissing you, what else is he meant to do with his hands? not harshly, but like a gentle hold, other hand cupping your (non ass) cheek softly. when you pull apart, he’d gaze at you with this insane melty softness in his eyes that gives you no choice but to kiss him again. i also feel like minho would love the classic back-hug-and-neck-kiss move, and whenever you’re in front of him, expect a pair of lips on your neck.
first kiss...with changbin
i’m a lifelong advocate for the pick-up-and-kiss combo, especially if seo changbin is the one initiating it. it’d all be very sweet and soft with him, probably very giggly too. he’d get so giddy afterwards, unable to stop laughing, and neither would you! with your legs still wrapped around his waist, he’d haul the two of you onto the nearest soft surface and you’d both squeal like teenagers over what just happened. probably the type to pepper your cheeks and nose with small kisses afterwards (not the post-kiss aftercare) and he’d treat you like an absolute princess the whole time!
first kiss...with hyunjin
hyunjin has been waiting for this moment since the first time he set his eyes on you. he wants to make it ‘perfect’, and has all these grandiose plans for how to initiate, but of course it happens when the two of you are nestled on the couch in your pyjamas watching a movie. screw a fancy dinner and roses, i guess! but in all honesty, he loves it regardless. he just wants to be with you, and having your lips on his is an infinite bonus. he’d sling his arms gently around your waist, and i feel like he’d be a sucker for makeouts. definitely the type to just gaze into your eyes for a couple of seconds after the kiss ends, very cliche high school movie of him, but let him have his moment. this is a very big deal for our resident romantic.

this guy is all talk and no balls (sorry not sorry), and he’d be flirting and teasing about kissing you for so long, probably even about fucking you, but when you actually cup his cheeks and bring your face to his? he’d be shocked. suddenly he’s babbling incoherently and his cheeks are bright pink and holy shit, thank god he’s cute because otherwise, he’d never live this down. he eventually settles after his nervous system reminds itself that he’s actually just kissing his girlfriend, not being held at gunpoint, and then he starts to get into it. might even slide a cheeky hand onto your waist if he’s feeling really confident, but for the most part, he sticks to caressing your cheeks and playing with your hair. silly boy.

felix likes to hide behind this innocent, blonde angel facade, but i know the freak that you are lee yongbok. i feel like he’d definitely be the one to initiate, especially since he’s a big physical touch guy. hands are probably all over you on the regular, but even moreso when you settle yourself onto his lap and he finally gets to press his lips to yours. he’d be gentle, because this is a pretty intimate moment for the two of you, and he wouldn’t want to overwhelm you or take things too far in case you’re not ready. whilst it’s a decent step in your relationship, it would feel very casual for the two of you, like it was meant to happen. he’s probably already kissed everywhere on your face and neck but your lips anyways, this little lovebug.

seungmin would be so gentle, making sure you’re comfortable and that it’s really, truly what you want (even if you’ve made it abundantly clear, he needs to be certain). would probably start with a soft peck, waiting for you to initiate if you want anything more, but once you do, he’s very giving. his lips are smooth and sweet and probably taste like coffee. he wouldn’t want to get too carried away when kissing you for the first time, so it would probably just be gentle makeouts for the first few times. he’d be the type to cup your face with his hands and softly stroke your cheek once you pull away, eyes sparkling. god bless kim seungmin, now move because it’s my turn.

jeongin kind of doesn’t care. and this is not in a bad way! but like, he doesn’t really feel the need to rush things, he’s just happy to let things happen as they do. he’s comfortable around you, and whilst he might not always initiate affection, he’s always glad to receive it. so when you lightly thrust your thigh over his while cuddling one day, he’s quick to place his hands on your waist and let you lean into him. would probably start very soft, but i feel like he’d get easily overexcited, especially due to the fact that your lips are finally on his for the first time. however, he’d be careful to make sure he doesn’t go too far, silently checking in with you as the kiss progresses to make sure you’re happy, and who the hell wouldn’t be?

Seungmin and you were just friends, but the chemistry between you two was something that kept you both awake late at night, wondering what would happen if, just if, the feelings you had for each other were mutual. You both saw it as something impossible, unaware of the reality.
"Oh, her eyes, her eyes

You were camping with your other friends. Obviously, the idea came from Lee Know. Everyone knew there was something more between you and Seungmin, so when assigning the tents, you two ended up sharing one alone.
—"I can’t sleep. I hate this; there are bugs, and I’m freezing," you said, uncomfortable in a thin sleeping bag, rubbing your arms to try to keep the mosquitoes threatening to bite you away.
Seungmin chuckled, turning over to face you as he lay in his own sleeping bag.
—"Don’t be so pampered."
You shot him a glare, narrowing your eyes to show disapproval at his comment.
—"Though, to be honest, I can’t sleep either… Do you want to go outside for a while? The sky seems nice," he said with a smile as he sat up.
When you stepped outside, you both sat on a bench, admiring the beautiful stars lighting up the sky. You were captivated; for a moment, the bugs didn’t bother you, and you didn’t feel cold. You smiled as you watched the stars, taking in the breathtaking view.
Meanwhile, Seungmin could only see how beautiful your eyes looked as the stars’ reflections illuminated them. You looked so stunning, as if there were a thousand constellations in your gaze.
You turned to him and noticed he wasn’t looking at the sky. He was staring at you. Your cheeks felt warm as a faint blush appeared on Seungmin’s face.
—"What are you doing? The stars are over there," you said playfully, pointing at the sky.
—"They look prettier reflected in your eyes," he replied, staring at you intently, his cheeks reddening even more.
He leaned closer to you, your breaths mingling. Clumsily, he placed his hand over yours; his warm skin contrasted with the cold bench.
—"Y/N…" he murmured, lowering his eyes to your lips. His warm breath made you lose your composure.
—"Can I kiss you?" were the last words you heard before he pulled you into a tender kiss full of love and longing.

You were fast asleep. The cold blanket over your body made you feel cozy, and Seungmin’s warm presence next to you helped you drift into a peaceful slumber.
On the other hand, Seungmin was wide awake beside you, mesmerized by your relaxed expressions: your slightly open mouth, your eyelashes casting faint shadows on your cheeks, and the strands of hair falling over your face. Anyone else might have thought you were a mess, but to him, you were a masterpiece.
You woke up and saw him. The sunlight streaming through the tent made his hair shine a light brown. He looked so handsome.
—"Good morning, love," you said with your raspy morning voice, stretching your still-sleepy limbs.
He smiled at you. He really wanted to pinch your cheeks every time he saw you wake up.
You sat up, determined to get out of bed and make breakfast, but his laughter interrupted your thoughts.
—"You’re so adorable like this, my little poodle," he said with a laugh, pointing at your fluffy, messy hair.
Blushing, you stood up and went to your vanity to check your reflection. God, you looked like a mess.
—"I… I can’t wake up looking like a goddess. How embarrassing," you muttered as you tried to tame your rebellious hair.
—"But you actually look like a goddess," he replied, standing behind you. He leaned down and kissed your cheek.
—"A cute, fluffy goddess," he added before guiding you back to bed, where he rested you on his chest and began playing with your hair.

It was your third day of menstruation. You felt bloated, and a pimple had appeared on your cheek. Your mood was terrible, mainly because, no matter how much you tried, your appearance didn’t seem to improve.
That’s when Seungmin appeared, wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his face in the crook of your neck as you looked for clothes to hide your bloated stomach.
—"You look so pretty today," he murmured, enchanted by your scent, softly caressing your sides.
—"You’re lying," you said angrily, turning around to face him. "I’m not just bloated; my face looks weird because of this. I’m an ugly, deformed monster… I disgust myself," you said, pointing at your pimple and rubbing your stomach in frustration. You were on the verge of tears.
It hurt him to hear you talk about yourself that way. How could you not see that you were perfect?
—"What are you talking about? You’re beautiful, always have been. A pimple doesn’t make you an ogre. Even a million of them wouldn’t. You look amazing no matter what—bloated or not. You’ll always be the prettiest person in the world to me. Please, don’t ever say those awful things about my girlfriend again," he said, looking at you with those loving eyes that always gave you butterflies.
With just those words, you felt more at ease with your appearance that day. What did a pimple or a bloated stomach matter anyway? You looked good if Seungminnie said so.

You were getting ready for a company party. Of course, Seungmin was taking you as his date. You wanted to make a good impression, so you carefully picked out your dress, makeup, and hairstyle.
After what felt like hours getting ready, you walked up to your boyfriend to get his opinion.
—"So? How do I look? Do I look okay?" you asked, looking at him and silently hoping he would say yes.
He simply felt like he was falling in love all over again. He pulled you closer and gave you a tender kiss while wrapping his arms around your waist.

𝐚/𝐧・I've been trying to just write and not over-edit everything until it feels like my fingers are going to fall off so I might make this a series where I post random thoughts that I haven't edited until my brain explodes :) sooo I only edited this once (everybody clap!) its probably painfully obvious (this took me 6 hours I literally don't know how)
"I feel gross," Han grumbles, lifting his head from your chest and rubbing his 5-o'clock shadow that very quickly turned into a 12-o'clock shadow when he decided to crawl into bed with you after work instead of completing his usual night routine. "M'just so tired, I don't wanna do nothin'."
You peered down at him, his self-conscious frown pressed against your shirt. His chest trembled every time he breathed—heavy with the type of exhaustion that settled deep into his bones, a feeling he knew all too well. Han carried the world on his shoulders and never asked for anything in return; you wished for nothing more than the power to release him from all this weight, and carry it upon yourself for a change.
"M'gonna do something, okay baby?" You whisper, planting a ginger kiss on his forehead as you untangle him from your arms and lift yourself from the mattress. It feels like hours until you come back, Han fidgeting restlessly when you slide back into his room with a silly smile and an impressive spread.
"Is that a charcuterie board?" Han laughs, your smile like a soothing balm to his fatigued muscles. You splayed out various shaving essentials onto the piece of wood, including: a razor, shaving cream, and a large bowl of water that makes him tilt his head, wondering how you were even able to balance all that on your arm.
You nod, seeming very proud of yourself. "Yes, indeed it is."
His face melts into a grin as you set yourself up, placing the board onto the bedside table and settling yourself atop his thighs. Han's thumbs brush mindless circles on your hips, like they always do. His eyelids flutter shut as you slather cool shaving cream over his jaw, basking in the relaxing essence of it all. He breathes, inhaling for the first time in what feels like lifetimes, allowing your gentle hands to ease every ache and pain from his body.
You glide the razor across his jaw, dipping it into the bowl of water every now and then to shake the hair off. The room is silent, save for the quiet hum of your heartbeat and the soft scrape of the blade, walls thrumming with the silent intimacy you two share. You had thrown open the curtains hours ago, now painting the room in splotches of light and cool air, which licks up his spine making him shiver. As if on cue, something stirs inside him, a feeling that blossoms inside his ribs, a warmth that spreads through his skin, making him want to get up and dance yet lay down and kiss you all at once.
This is far from the first time Jisung has experienced this strange phenomenon. It happened when you snuck into his practice room after hours, with nothing but yourself and a sharp tongue, lecturing the staff about his unrealistic schedule. It happened at the sight of your reassuring smile, front and center at one of his concerts. It happened when you kissed him for the first time, breathing life back into his body when it felt like anxiety had taken it all.
And it happens to him now, as you squint your eyes, lips pursed in concentration; you were so kind and attentive, so absolutely ethereal. The midnight stars hung over your head like a delicate halo, strokes of blue and gold sprinkled over your face, leaving him dizzy and breathless.
It hits him, suddenly, intensely, with a flutter in his chest and a trembling exhale—he feels stronger when he's with you. The revelation almost seals his windpipe shut, lashes collecting dew as he peers up at you admiring all the wonder you hold.
You finish, dipping the razor into the water once more before smoothing your thumb over his freshly shaven jaw, eyes sparkling with constellations only he could find.
"You make me feel stronger—" he breathes, the words slipping out before he can overthink them; part of him doesn't understand what he meant, but the other knew it just felt... right.
For some time, you are unable to respond, simply blinking, mouth slightly agape. The silence kills him, making him squirm awkwardly in his seat, suddenly feeling very embarrassed by his confession. And then you press your palms against his damp cheeks and rid the distance between you two.
It knocks the air out of his lungs all over again, no longer thinking about anything except for how your hair smells like vanilla and your lips taste like spring. You feel like the universe, clutched tightly in his hands, and he wouldn't trade it for anything.
