Ohh your OC Nuromai looks really interesting, can you tell us smth about them? I love your design!

Huff I'm terribly flattered, let me think! Besides them being a DnD character, and the more forward stuff uhhh uhh what can I share-- I could share some lore?? He's one of many direct divine descendants of one entity, him and his siblings are each said to be one of her shedded feathers gaining sentience. All his folk, and there are thousands, besides his mother, are socially/linguistically considered his siblings, but they can pretty much look like anything/anyone, and he's not particularly close to any of them, besides maybe 2-3. He met his own "mother" maybe like... 1-2 times in his entire life, so he's a bit mentally detached from the "human" concept of family. Most of his misconceptions around the terms "family", "siblings" and "parents" came through mistranslations of his language, given his want to share in human culture, he often attempts to relate experiences that are difficult to compare, and it's been causing him some grief, to be sure.

(I don't have a lot of art of his mother, given she's.. died before the campaign started, but here u go, have some concepts. I think I could never quite settle on a certain visual for her, given I don't think Nuromai remembers her very well at all, so trying to match his perception of her, I kept her visuals quite hazy/uncertain. Visual trait: Tall???) (Bonus fact: He's recently been asked to seek out her undying/undead remains to end her, oops.)

Been drawing this dude for a whole year and slowly I've been learning how the hell to sketch out his square-ass bodyshape to not look stiff, and on the way learned a thing or two about balancing proportions and size-ratio too Very worthwhile endeavor

Another NPC introduction: Jamie! Simon's been sleeping around in the nightclub for a lil bit, but he was not expecting to catch himself someone down for more consistent entanglements. Though "catching" is maybe giving him too much credit- our local drunk Lightkeeper is not known for his people-reading skills. Alas, indulging in the joys of life with whatever time he has is all that is on his mind for now, and this Jamie fellow seems happy to join in those endeavors. Though surely lose interest eventually, right?? Simon won't rock the boat for now at the very least

Simon was a streetkid when he got picked up by a member of the Twin Serpent crew - violence being a necessity to survival was a learned way of life by this point already. He was a quite tense and prickly fella initially but gradually eased up - Still, he's not very good at getting a read on people, so while he learned to enjoy himself during his time with them, he never fully figured out how to let his walls down. We are after all dealing with a high deception / low insight-type idiot after all

Before getting stranded on that Lighthouse, Simon spent a couple years on a ship - the crew of said ship just happened to be pirates, but the Lightkeepers don't have to know any of that-

Have an interlude of shitposts before I go back into more detailed character lore- there'll be plenty more and I'll slowly get better at drawing the cast in tiny scribbles - like, most of these were drawn before the first session even happened lmao

The Party of the Capitalist Apocalypse Campaign. --Roll call-- right to left; Simon - Paladin Human - played by yours truly Nuromai - Bard "Valr" (Aasimar equivalent) - played by @awkwardosthe3rd Niente - Warlock "Vermyn" (Changeling equivalent) - played by @lucaerindales And every NPC is played by DrownedJester

Y'all know what, I've been progressively amassing a collection of art, doodles and shitposts all surrounding one of our ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaigns // aka I've had character brainrot for a while// and I think Tumblr might actually be a good site to try and start figuring out how to even just,, start, posting about it in a semi-cohesive manner - it'll be quite self-indulgent. So. I'll be tagging content and art related to this campaign as "CA Campaign" since the server dedicated to it is named "Capitalist Apocalypse"
