I just got back from a trip to some hot springs out in the middle of nowhere and may have called a vegan hippy on acid who was out there with me a colonizer for suggesting that people should just move to the areas where they can grow all the fruits and veggies they want to eat so they can be vegan without importing stuff 💀
Am I the asshole for declining a dinner invitation with my mom and sisters the week after my niece passed away, because my step-dad who attempted to ---- my mom's throat and has been accused of inappropriate behavior with the kids they were fostering will also be there and I specifically said I want no contact with him in the past?
A younger, more bitter me would disagree, but I actually don’t care what god you pray to, if you tell me you’re keeping me in your prayers (non-confrontational), I consider that a blessing. To think that someone cares enough about me to mention me to someone they love, that’s special to me.
