Question: what Pokémon do you think some of the other GF characters have? I feel like Dipper would have a Linoone, since they have an ability that picks up random items, but I’m not sure it’d be his main… Mabel would probably have a Skitty imho, would be in LOVE with a Shuckle (so many hugs!), and Waddles would 1000% be a cute little Spoink!
Since a lot of people seem to be interested I'll just go ahead and share my collages of characters and their teams I did on my Instagram story :-)

-Wendy got her Floatzel from Soos and Soos got their Bibarel from Wendy
-Wendy's Eevee evolves into a Glaceon later in the series
-Tate rescued a Dratini (later evolved into Dragonair) from pokemon poachers who became his lifelong friend

YES EXACTLY!!! I have a scene in my mind where Ford, when he first got settled down in Gravity Falls, comes across a couple unowns attempting to spell out a warning about Bill to him but their attempts end up being for nothing as Ford brushes them off. ALSO I LOVE THE IDEA OF STAN AND HIS POKEMON ALL GETTING REALLY INTO THE DUCHESS APPROVES THATS SO NICE I LOVE THEM...
one more thing actually! where does fords portal go in the pokémon au?
I'd imagine his first stop would be some other dimension resembling the Nightmare Realm. Like an alternate Bill's Nightmare Realm. Obviously it can't be THE Nightmare Realm, not the one Ford describes traveling to when he was sucked into the portal. This is the first time I'm thinking about this so I don't have a lot of ideas at the moment but I'd like to hear some if you have any!
hi! i like your takes on stan and ford's pokemon, especially them having a solrock and lunatone :,) im kind of assuming from the post that stan's starter was fennekin, so are they from kalos then? or did their region not factor into your thoughts on their pokemon?
also bonus question: what is bill's pokedex entry
Hehe I'm so happy people are noticing the parallels between their teams :)) to answer your question, I didn't put too much thought regarding what pokemon belongs to which region I just wanted to have fun with it and give myself the whole array of options but in hindsight, I probably should've thought harder about that.
For your bonus question, since Bill is mostly likely a pokemon that not many know about and doubt the existence of besides the people he influences, much like in canon, I'd imagine his pokedex entry is nonexistent since the programmers probably wrote Bill off as some wild conspiracy theory. If he did have a pokedex entry it'd probably be something like this:
"Bill Cipher, the triangle pokemon. They say this pokemon has been around since the dawn of time as its presence can be seen throughout human history."

I think it would be funny if Bill and Steve knew each other before Euclydia was destroyed and Bill just had an insane hatred for him for not really any good reason. I've been thinking it would be interesting if Bill took his "strange eye" as a sign that he's different and special, it was his eye that allowed him to see the 3rd dimension after all, and the fact that Steve has the same abnormality attacks that belief which infuriates him. In all honesty, Bill probably used the "he's not like all the other shapes" mentality to cope to some degree.

Yes same!! It always irked me particularly when people would reduce her to Fiddleford's "bitch ex-wife" and make her awful just to justify fiddauthor as if their relationship didn't have many flaws (I love fiddauthor btw this isn't me bashing them). If anything, I think it takes away from the tragedy of Fiddleford slowly forgetting her and Tate because why would we care if Fiddleford forgets about this person that treated her like shit? I'm a little embarrassed to admit I haven't actually thought about what she'd be studying while at college but I can imagine she'd take something related to her passion for storytelling. I know her and Fiddleford met in a DD&MD club to which Fiddleford would later introduce Ford to Emma-May. I love Emma-May so bad I really need to start establishing more parts of her character in my mind when it comes to specific things like this but I'm super glad people like my take on her considering she's one of my favorites thank you so much :o)
