As I m going to be published in France by Hachette, I m not really allowed to post regularly here anymore. I apology. I will continue to post on my main tumblr some sample little by little so I suggest you if you are interested about this project, to follow my main account! thank you so much for your support!

I m currently at page 127, I have to reach to page 172 to finish the first volume releasing in January 2020. :) Then I will have to do many pass to fixe the drawings and dialogs who suck.

I also had to re-write and redraw and add pages these last months, in order to improve the story, the characters, their relationships, the dialogs. So even the pages in this tumblr are not really accurate anymore. The story is much much much better now, trust me, I m learning so much doing that (improving a story no matter what until the last second is something I m learning working at Pixar ^^)

So I hope you are not giving up about this project and you will give it a try next year if you see it in a french comicbook store ^^

I apology for the dialogs, they are still in WIP. I ll do a very big pass at the very end because I need to have perspective. This is my ultima te weakness I need it figure it out ^^ As I m not full time on this comicbook, I try to speed up to do 2 to 5 pages a week, during evening and week ends.

As I said earlier on my main tumblr account, I signed with a french publisher, Hachette, so after page 100, I ll stop publishing main ful pages but only sample to tease you :) I m sorry to do that but that’s the deal they ask me to publish my comicbook so you ll have to pay to read the full story. I disagree that reading stuff here willhold you to buy the comicbook but it is not negociable. They are generous enough to let me publish the first 100 pages.

Why I am publishing this project? Because being a storyartist in the best company in the world and doing the best projects in the world is not enough ^^ I want to be recognized as an author and not a storyartist. I need it. So at some point it is important to me to get into the professional process. I hope you ll understand. Also my publisher asked me to take away the 100 pages 3 months before it will be published.

Also it will be published only in french. If you want to get a proper english version, it is up to you to support me more, reblog my stuff more etc. :) your support is very welcome, I would be glad to convince my publisher about this.

Also I m polishing and redoing many pages I have already published, in order to provide a fresh version so you ll get good surprise if you want to buy it.

Also I m planning to sell some super cool charcoal original drawings I d like to make from this project, 50 to 100 dollars by drawing (plus shipping prize)   let me know in Mp who is interested so I can evaluate if it worth it to organize it.

I did this translation on my own this time so please let me know if you find weird or wrong translations.

About this chapter, it was tricky because it is full of important information, it introduce the extremist general and the second main character at the end of it. Plus there is many explanations. I tried to limit the number of pages in total to be efficient but I m afraid I have been too fast and it needs more mise en scene to show more the differets feeling of the characters during the sequence. especially yuri who is very much under pressure. so anyway I post it now as it is but Iwill maybe add more pages later :)

About this chapter : It took me forever to make it, because it is a new era of the story. New background design. I will not pretend it is not a pain in the ass to draw (and a pleasure^^). The real start is now. Before this part, I was just setuping the protagonists of the story. This armored train is a very important background in my story. A lot of very fucking rad action sequence is coming inside of it hell yeah.

Yes I m doing exactly the story that what I want to do. Yes I m fucking pleasing myself :D I hope you will too, please be patient, it will be cool :D

May I introduce the kantserov tsarist lieutenant. He knows he is in hell but alcohol helps him to not give a shot about it... normal..

I have so much to learn, but I m convinced this story is great and must be told no matter what.

I tried to be as fast as possible as I m only working on my spare time, story is more important than perfect drawing to me.

this chapter is about a new flash beack between the two main characters, spedning during Russian Japanese 1905 war who started the Russian social Revolution.

Why I refuse to be published through a publisher?

I believe internet is a place ot sharing for free Art and Education. I want to contribute and to inspire you through this project.Because of the story itself but also because of this process itself.

I work very hard at Pixar, serving humbly the story of other great and demanding artists, which is an extraordinary chance and my dreamjob from far. I feel fully accomplished from that. But I want to be full free on this project. I want to explore, experiment without constrains. A publisher would act like a producer, saying, you can not make that amount of page, you have to reach this deadline so hurry up too bad for the quality.. etc.. Which is very important to do, that’s his job, I strongly respect it, but I don’t want this for this specific project.I want to take the time to experiment, to take the time to fail and to discover things without asking me if it is commercially okay to do it. I want to be free and after it is done I will try to sell it the way it will be. If I don’t find anybody, I will be fine.

Or I will do a crowfondung, if I have enough followers who want to support me.

But I want to keep the internet version free so you will have the choice, but no obligation.

I started this project 10 years ago, from an illustration, in order to train myself into narration, storytelling. It was first a short project, then it became a feature film, then a webcomic, because I can not do it in a professional mode, now I m full time at Pixar.
