Sirius who only gains custody of Harry after he spent some time with the Dursleys. And Harry reminds him so much of baby Regulus it hurts. He's quiet, cautious, and nothing like the giggling happy baby Sirius remembers.
And Sirius couldn't save the first baby he raised but he vows right then and there to do everything in his power to give Harry the childhood Regulus never got to have.

Reading an after - war hinny fic and this passage sums up EXACTLY how i feel about snape and his character oh my god

its a sequel to their work βthe changelingβ which is a beautifully written fic where Ginny is a slytherin, covering her 1st to 6th year with a 7th year epilogue. I dont read many fics surrounding Harrys generation anyway so I was wary of a slytherin ginny at first, but i absolutely devoured it and would highly recommend.
