heeseung’s always been the cool, nonchalant type—someone who can laugh off pretty much anything with that easygoing smirk of his. so, when one of your guy friends throws a casual arm around your shoulders during a group hangout, you expect heeseung to ignore it or joke in to the gossip, at least that's what he should do since you're not his real girlfriend. instead, he goes silent, his dark eyes narrowing ever so slightly as he watches the interaction with a clenched jaw.
the shift is subtle, but you know him too well. he doesn’t move from where he’s leaning against the wall, but the way his gaze follows your every move is unnerving.
“you good?” you ask, stepping closer after the gathering got over, and tugging lightly on his sleeve. his eyes snap to yours, and for a second, something almost dangerous flickers behind them before he masks it with a tight-lipped smile.
“yeah, i'm good.” his voice is flat, the usual playful tone gone. “didn't know you two were that close.”
you arch an eyebrow, tilting your head. “what, jealous?” you tease, hoping to break the tension, cracking him a smile.
heeseung lets out a humourless chuckle, his gaze sliding back to where your friend was standing. “of him? please.” the words are dismissive, but there’s a sharp edge underneath. heeseung finally pushes off the wall and closes the distance between you, his tall frame towering over yours as he dips his head down, his hand slowly caressing your upper hand. “but just so you know,” he murmurs lowly, voice dropping to a dangerous whisper that only you can hear, “i’m your boyfriend, even if it’s fake. he doesn’t get to touch you like that.”
before you can respond, he pulls you into his chest, wrapping a possessive arm around your waist. the way he holds you is different—no teasing, no joking, just a raw, simmering intensity that makes your heart race.

「synopsis」 : it was halloween season once again, and your brother begged you and your friends to go to this new hit escape room that just came into town; the only problem? you hated going to them almost as much as you hated waking up early in the morning. however, being the good friend and sister you were you went with them. you expected cheesy props, dumb riddles and questions, and a rigged room, so you couldn't get out even if you got the right answers. what you weren't expecting was being drugged and waking up in a room with a dead body and separated from all of your friends.

“jay!” you screeched from the living room, phone in hand and jaw hanging so wide open, you were surprised it wasn’t down on the floor.
your boyfriend ran into view, a visible look of panic on his face, “what’s wrong, honey?”
“you never told me about this scene when you filmed the trailer!” you exclaimed half-offended, showing him the paused screen with a girl you didn’t know, her head tucked into your boyfriend’s neck, and from what you could tell, her lips were probably sucking at the skin!
backing up a bit, jay just chuckled, grabbing your wrist to sit you down again.
inhaling one big breath into his lungs before letting out a heavy sigh, he turned to you with a smirk, “you jealous?”
“pfft-” you let out, staring at him. “of course i am! i’m your girlfriend, therefore i believe i have the right to be! i should be the only one laying myself on your chest and pressing my lips to your neck,” you finished, turning your head away from your boyfriend dramatically with a huff.
you heard another chuckle elicit from jay.
“what are you laughing for?” you said, still upset.
“you know how cute you are whenever you get jealous?” he started, causing you to furrow your brows as his words made you start to think. he continued, “i feel like i’m basically falling in love with you all over again, honey.”
you gave him a blank stare.
“don’t tell me you were waiting for me to watch this first without you telling me about her just because you like seeing me jealous...”
“welp, guilty as charged. what can we do about it? the past is in the past now, yeah?” he said as he began standing up, turning to look down and face you. “and don’t worry. the angle just made it look like her lips were on me, when in reality, she wasn’t even that close. so don’t worry, my love. nothing to worry about.”
you stood up to better meet his eyes before speaking, “okay, well… good then. as she should.”
with a moment of silence and staring into each other’s eyes, not knowing what to say after wrongly accusing him, you began walking away past him.
but before you could get away, you felt yourself being held back when you noticed jay’s hand holding your wrist.
and without having time to process it, you were already being pulled into his chest, his eyes looking into yours with a smirk on his lips before he dove in, kissing you softly.
oh, how he loved seeing you jealous.
