Still Trying

One-shot. Chloé Bourgeois’s first instincts were not to be terrible. (Were anyone’s first instincts really to be terrible?)

The Heroes of Paris and their Differing Opinions on Chloé Bourgeois

One-shot. Marinette Dupain-Cheng hated Chloé Bourgeois. Of course, this translated into Ladybug hating Chloé Bourgeois. But Adrien Agreste? He loved Chloé. And so did Chat Noir.

It's Always Her, With You.

One-shot.

Everyone criticizes Chloé. Sabrina, of all people, knows it's for good reason.

Abille

Chapters 1/15 - When Chloé goes under fire from the public as Queen Bee, Ladybug has no choice but to take her miraculous (Despite all the hard work she’s put into the new team that they’ve built with her Rena, and Carapace.) She thinks she’ll never get it back- Until a certain feline hero takes pity on her.

“Introducing new bee hero Abeille! ! Surely better than her predecessor, everyone give her a round of applause!”

(My Favorite Moments are the Ones Spend With You, M'lady.)

Adrien Agreste is in love with Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

(But, God, Chat Noir loves loved Ladybug.)

Wow we really have come a long way from “Hey Chloé you can’t use the bee miraculous anymore because your identity is known” to “Anyway we’re just going to casually announce Alix’s secret identity to the entire class”, haven’t we?

I have a soft spot for Chloé. I adore seeing fics about her friendship with Adrien; I don’t ship them, but I do think the fact that, growing up, she was the only real friend he had is important, and shouldn’t be casually dismissed the way canon and fanon tend to do.

(I don’t actually think Chloé’s feelings for Adrien are romantic in nature, even though she might think they are. She’s a middle school girl with no real examples of what an actual healthy relationship looks like, zero prior experience with romance, and few actual friends, so it’s not hard to imagine that she can’t tell the difference between romantic interest and protective yet platonic feelings of friendship.)

Keeping that in mind, my absolute favorite Adrien & Chloé dynamic is “Found Family/Adopted Siblings” and/or actual siblings.

As far as I can tell, those don’t actually exist. Sure, there are some (far too few, in my opinion) great fics out there focusing on Adrien & Chloé’s friendship, but I actually had to invent the “Adrien Agreste | Chat Noir & Chloé Bourgeois Are Siblings” tag (for my AU fic Who We Are is Not Where We’ve Been, where the two of them are siblings).

This makes me sad. Could we maybe get more of these?

I didn't think it would happen, but I've gone back to my Miraculous era and with that I've been back to wishing Chloe was redeemed.

And I KNOW she'll never be redeemed in canon, but I still like to imagine what would have happened she was. I think her identity would still be an issue, but we've seen how heroes can change their appearance and make everyone believe they're different person (Cat Walker) so theoretically she could do the same. And with that train of thought came the idea of this redesign/rebrand.

Not fully happy about her new hero name, but it's the best I could come up with. I do like how she turned out though.

Anonymous asked:

"his sending her to London being the only decent thing he could've done so she could hopefully start fresh"

yeah no he didn't "send her to london." let's not forget that there was a part in the script that TA was disappointed was rightfully cut out by the execs: where Andre declares divorce on Audrey and acknowledges that she is abusive and that Chloe deserves to be abused by her but he's keeping Zoe because unlike Chloe, she doesn't deserve to be abused

(clarification for those who don't know: that's what the script actually says, im not personally saying zoe deserves to be abused)

Yeah, no. There is *no* timeline where sending Chloé to live with Audrey was the right decision.

Might Chloé manage to improve herself there? Maybe, but it's one of those

'You've got great emoathy!'

'Thanks, it's all the abuse.'

Sorts of things.

imagine that andre says something really fucked up to zoe and it makes her really, really upset and then he like hides away like the coward he is and buries himself in his work and he doesn’t even really feel bad for saying what he said, but he doesn’t want her to be mad so he buys a bunch of shit and there’s a pile of gifts in her room and she’s like “…what the hell?” and then a few days goes by and he acts like nothings wrong(when he’s home, but he mostly just spends a bunch of time focusing on this fun movie instead of his daughter he just adopted) and so zoe realizes that she might’ve escaped her abusive mom but now she’s emotionally neglected at home and she starts to understand how chloe ended up the way she did

just posted a new fic !!

my view on a possible scenario going on in Adriens mind-- could he really have gotten over Ladybug that quickly ?

You know another thing I hate about Chloe's wasted potential? She had more connections to the Bee Miraculous than fucking Zoe ever did!

You guys know how the Bee Miraculous is meant to represent growth and hardwork, right? Well, that's exactly what Chloe was going through during Season 2! Yes, she fucked up a couple of times, but that was the point! Her arc in Season 2 was supposed to show that she can change, but with baby steps . Hell, it's not her fault no one told her that change takes time and it's hard to break old habits. Even Marinette said that it was gonna take baby steps to help her change.

But what change or growth does Zoe go through?

Zoe gets no development whatsoever! Her only "growth or change" is her saying "Hey family, fuck you! I ain't gonna bow down and kiss your asses no more! I'm a proud Pick Me girl, bitches!" UwU Okay, admittedly Zoe is far from a pick me. But still.

Basically, that's another main problem I had with her. Chloe actually shows that she is worthy of it despite her entitlement. She does want to change. She just doesn't know how. Zoe is just given the Miraculous because... nice girl.
