I made this side blog to help organize things because I’m getting a wee bit overwhelmed and don’t want to spam or make my feed really long with my already too long posts lol, but also of course still want to answer your asks. having a decent following on twitter for a little while totally fucked up my perception of my art and for a while i really did conflate likes and retweets/reblogs with the inherent "goodness" of my art and so when everything blew up and i would get like 5 retweets i was like yeahh its over for me but i have to say . downsizing to a smaller fandom and ditching twitter completely is so nice cause if i get like 20 reblogs its like EVERYONE IS HERE ! ! ! ! and even if i got no notes on anything that wouldnt mean my art was bad or unworthy of making u know . social media just totally rots our brains and makes us into people we werent before i think. i originally started posting when i was a kid because i was making the art anyways and i thought id share it with people who like the same things. you think i was drawing undertale characters with office pens and loose printer paper for attention? that shit was for the love of the craft. remember ur roots.
So true. It’s so easy to get caught in that mindset. One thing I try to remind myself is that in real life I’m stoked for just 1 person to like what I made or said, 5 is like a whole friend group squad appreciating what I shared, 10, 20 30, that’s like a whole room full of people who enjoyed what I did or took the time to read what I wrote and that’s pretty cool. When I posted my first fanfic I told myself that even if I just got 1 kudo it was still worth posting because that’s one person who also got to share the enjoyment I had while making it. :)
It really is crazy how if you mention you write fanfiction with people outside fandom, they're always like "you should change the names and try to sell it." It misses the point (fun), but more importantly to me, I get slightly (and I know irrationally) insulted on a craft letter. Excuse me, my fanfic is entwined with the canon, thank you very much. I wish sometimes less entwined. You wouldn't believe the stupid bullshit some of my fics have to include because of canon.
What even more so bothers me is the implication that for some reason it needs to be profitable. Which is just kinda weird to me. Other people’s hobbies and passions aren’t necessarily profitable, infact often costs money. You have to buy Lego, pay for Netflix subscription, pay to travel, buy supplies to wood work or whatever. A lot of hobbies cost something, but writing doesn’t, so why is the expectation then for it to be profitable. Can’t someone just do it cuz they enjoy it like someone else plays with 3D printers. Yes, it’s awesome when your passion can be profitable or it would be cool to publish a novel, but also the difference between a lot of fanfiction and a book, is more than just some simple changes. My fanfiction is written with the expectation that you have lots of context already about the characters, their relationship dynamics, motivations, personalities and about their world… the better point that I have heard people say is “I wish you could change it or write something that doesn’t need so much context since I think your writing is good.” But again, I think people really don’t quite understand the difference between fanfiction and original work. Writing a novel of my own would require a lot of work outside of the plot from picking names to character personalities, to cultures, and locations all before you even get to the plot. Versus fanfiction has more of that already built in, letting you just pick up the characters and play with them. It’s like saying oh since you love dressing up Barbies you should hand make your own doll and clothes instead. Like that ain’t the same…

Right so I just answered 18, sorry. Though I’m quite flattered y’all want to know about my hair lol :)… I guess I’ll do 1 & 8 instead.
1. who is/are your comfort character(s)?
Well I mean….. I think we all know the answer to that, it’d be c!Dream and then my boys c!Techno and c!Punz... Though if we want to look at it as like which character do I project being comforted onto, that would be Punz. (Techno tends to more so represent being helped, encouraged, and motivated)
8. how many water bottles are in your room right now?
None. I lave a whole little house to myself :) so my bedroom doesn’t have dishes they are just everywhere else lol. Plus, I really only use 1 water bottle all the time. The other thermoses and water bottles I have are currently being used to carry coffee to work and right now, they are scattered on my dining room table and sink for me to deal with later.
23. how do you feel about chilly weather?
I much prefer it to hot, because I feel like you can’t do more to counteract hot. You can always add layers for the cold, but for the heat there is only so much you can do and take off lol. As someone who in the past few years had my heat break during a severe freeze warning (with no space heater) and my AC break during heat advisory when I had a fever, I can say that while walking around with a jacket and hat on in your house isn’t optimal it is much preferable to sweating buckets. Plus, it’s pleasant to be all cuddly under soft blankets and sweaters :D (though the downside it that is makes it really hard to get out of the cozy bed in the morning). Also I have very good hearing so if I have to choose between the annoying hum of a fan or space heater, I’d definitely say the space heater, it is usually so much quieter.
Though I will say, one thing that is annoying about the cold is doing errands because you get super hot in the stores, so you have to keep taking your jacket off and putting it back on. Which is annoying and like trying to warm up your car but then if you make it too warm since you have your jacket on you start sweating uncomfortably… then the inverse problem in summer with the inside being cold a lot of places which means you wear shorts outside but your legs are cold inside. Like at work, I’ve worn my jacket and used a space heater at my desk during the summer because the thermostat was set so low for the whole building…. However, I will also say I haven’t really ever had to deal with the consistent extreme cold and the pain of dealing with snow and ice much, here everything pretty much shuts down when it gets snowy because we just don’t have the cars or infrastructure to handle it. So I imagine perhaps my opinion would change if I had to scrape the snow off my car in the morning and wear puffy jackets and long underwear everywhere…
Nope, I live in the south so I got Air-conditioning (though currently using heat cuz it’s cold outside). Also I am terrified of spiders and hate all the bugs so I do not want them in my house. Plus I live alone in a 1 floor house so I’m not sure I would even then cuz like imagine someone crawls in or something…….
11. favorite extracurricular activity?
Uhhhh…………. Are you trying to make me choose between writing and drawing?… I don’t know, depends on my mood and how many brain cells I have, at the moment I’ve been enjoying downloading new procreate brushes and playing around with them… In high school, it was choir though and in college it was Minecraft. :)
18. what hair products do you use?
Not a lot to be honest, hair is not my skill set, that’s why I have my sister lol who’s excellent. But here are the conditioner and shampoo I’m currently using.
Though my scalp is consistently dealing with dandruff so sometimes I switch up the shampoo and use Selson Blue or even a prescription one when I have it although I have recently also splurged on Briogeo Scalp Revival products. I love that this conditioner really helps my natural curls and all I have to do is scrunch after the shower and let dry, though I also like the similar Aussie Miracle Curls, but I feel like that doesn’t hold the curls as long and can make my hair frizzier. (If I dye my hair, I like to use the Fructis Color Shield conditioner or if I find it on sale Amika Keep Your Color Conditioner.)
For days when I don’t wash my hair, I either put some of this curl stuff in a spray bottle with water then give my hair a good spray down before rescrunching and letting it dry, or use dry shampoo and do some kind of updo or half up. This is the one I’m trying currently that I got on sale somewhere but in the past I’ve used the brown Batista one because my hair is dark and a lot of brands will show up really obvious in my hair. I’m liking this invisible one so far though. :)
Don’t y’all know I’m from the south? ;D of course it’d be soda, pop is a northern thing. Though I tend to actually say soft drink more than soda lol. Extra fun fact: I don’t like fizzy drinks/carbonation, it hurts my tongue. (Something probably attributed to my autistic heightened senses.)

Absolutely, I believe my record is like 6 hops, getting a good smooth flat rock is key.
14. do you love the smell of earth after it rains?
No really? I’ve never really understood the appeal…. They again maybe it’s just because I get so much rain here it’s not special.

2. lighter or matches?
Lighter when I can freaking fine it. I’m always afraid I’m gonna burn myself with matches and sometimes take like 3 times before I light one… as a kid though I found it hard to use the buttons on the lighter.
9. which do you prefer, hot coffee or cold coffee?
Usually depends on the time of year. Recently, I haven’t been like wanting to stomach coffee in the morning when I make it so it sits there and at like 12:30 I drink it lukewarm or straight up cold… I swear I basically treat it like upgraded cough syrup that gets me through the day… then I end up falling asleep anyways :/
25. perfume/body spray or lotion?
Probably body spray because my autistic ass doesn’t love the feeling of lotion. Like as a kid I used to rinse it off. And I always forget to put on perfume lol.
people acting like c!dream never had the idea of putting c!Tommy into prison is cap. Ur right he had thought of the idea before because the idea was he would put a threat, an enemy in there, and considering exile and how c!dream suggested repeating exile to c!Tommy, there is a chance he had considered putting c!Tommy in prison. Also considering c!Sam talked about that being the plan, and c!dream purposely got c!Tommy trapped in the cell with him via controlling c!ranboo. I get why people are hostile over the topic since c!inniters made the topic weird but I see where you are coming from and we are talking about Canon here. The Canon lore shows that c!dream despised c!tommy and wanted him controlled, it showed he wanted c!tommy in the cell and it showed he considered exile 2.0 even if the last one was just a way to scare him. Not trying to come off ad a big c!Tommy fan but just going by how lore is.

Can I just say, as an aside, the way we in general talk about Dream wanting Tommy to be controlled kinda bothers me. Like we are acting like Dream was trying to make Tommy his slave or something, when literally the times he uses the discs as blackmail is to get him to literally just stop and give his stuff back and such. Like yes, control but I really just don’t see Dream as this controlling puppeteer, cuz like it just ain’t true. So sure control but I think that’s as far as like keeping a fire in the stone circle so it doesn’t burn down the whole forest. If that makes sense. Like why take Tommy’s stuff over and over? Well 1) we have our proof because the stuff Dream didn’t take Tommy hid in his basement planning to revolt against Dream and 2) if someone took your stuff over and over, it makes sense why you’d want to too. It’s not like Dream forced him to do things in exile besides give up his stuff and stay away from the server…. anyways that’s besides the point but just something I wanted to say about the whole control thing. And like not an attack against you specifically just a gripe I have in general.
So… Does canon show Dream wanted Tommy in the cell and Exile 2.0? Eh debatable I think. We get that idea from what he says in staged finale which isn’t exactly the most honest conversation lol… so canonically I don’t think we have definitive proof that he was going to do a Tommy Exile 2.0 or put Tommy in the cell. What I have tried to say, is that during the construction of the prison, I feel like at some point it likely crossed Dream’s mind, like you said, to put enemies in there which would include Tommy. I think the difference is, that I mean it’s not just about Tommy but any threat, anyone acting untoward to an unreasonable and unstoppable degree, whether because of power or because of limited canon lives or whatever. The thing people do that’s frustrating is make it about Tommy specifically and I’m just saying in general. There are lots of other characters who are troublemakers that he could have also thought about. In fact, he even jokes about putting Karl in there [clip], showing that it has at the very least crossed his mind.
It’s not about the Exile Arc, like the events that enfolded and such, but exile as a type of sentence for an offense against someone. That this would be an alternative since when people (Tommy) are exiled they don’t tend to stay exiled like they are supposed to. I mean if things were different and Sam chopped Ponk’s arm off, Dream would have probably thrown him in jail ya know. It’s not a personal attack on Tommy, Tommy is just an enemy. Quackity blowing up Purpled’s spaceship unprompted, probably would have ended up in prison for that or something. Heck there might have even been a whole trial system set up if things were different…
As far as Ranboo is concerned and the prison, we don’t really know why he did that. We do know that Dream wrote the waiver Tommy signed about him being trapped for up to a week so the minimum we know is that presumably Dream wanted Tommy in the cell for 1 week with him and that’s why he had Ranboo do the explosions when Tommy came to visit. Now, we also know that this was prompted after Sapnap threatens to kill Dream if he ever escapes prison, as after that comment Dream asks if Sapnap can send Ranboo the message. And we also know that Dream didn’t specifically trap him to test the Revival Book since it’s not until after the 1 week that he actually kills Tommy. So I don’t think that was a planned thing, seemed more of an impulse thing that happened after Tommy had been shit talking him for days, hitting him, killed the cat and said Dream is going to stay in prison forever. And none of that really implies Dream wanted Tommy Exile 2.0. My theory would be that based on what Dream says when that happens is that Dream hoped it would be a chance for Tommy and him to bond and become friends so Tommy would convince people that Dream changed so he could be let out [post]. But that’s just my theory. And I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure in the conversations we see between Sam and Dream about the prison it isn’t mentioned to be specifically for Tommy. Not even when Dream is talking to Punz about the prison does he imply they plan on putting Tommy in it. Dream also mentions how Tommy’s Exile would end so it wasn’t forever, so I don’t think he was going to have Exile 2.0 not unless Tommy did something else super bad he’d need to react to.
So I’ll have to disagree with you here, I don’t think we have the lore evidence to support that Dream wanted Tommy in prison. What I’m more so referring to is that Dream likely thought about putting people who were causing trouble to an extreme extent in the prison as a substitute to an exile, and based on his history of behavior, Tommy could be a candidate for that reality…

yeah, a lot of neurodivergent people don't answer the phone or reply back to texts, I know many that never reply back because they are scared that the person they are ghosting secretly hates them and are scared of coming off as cringe so instead of replying back, they ghost. The person they are ghosting then thinks that person doesn't like them without realizing the reason the person is ghosting is because they have anxiety and don't wanna come off bad or because they forget to reply and have executive dysfunction issues.
Yeah… quite an ironic mess lol. Most of my friends are either diagnosed or suspected autistic and/or ADHD, so I get ghosted a lot. Which is the type of thing that really upset me back in high school, but now, I have the more so attitude that people are busy. Things happen, texts can come at wrong times and then forgotten about and like you said some people have a lot of anxiety about it. I mean I myself now have ended up ghosting people unintentionally for one reason or another, typically not anxiety but forgetting or not being in a place I could think about the response at the time. But obviously I don’t hate that person and stuff so I realized that that’s probably a reason people don’t respond to me too. And my current friends leave me unread all the time but I just don’t take it personally, they honestly just forgot. My advice though if you are dealing with people ghosting you unintentionally for whatever reason, if an option, give them a call. People are a lot more likely to pick up and not just ignore you then. And if you are struggling to remember to response to messages and the one accidentally ghosting, I have 2 things to say - 1) just because you can edit and reread what you wrote doesn’t mean it has to be a perfect response, if you don’t know what to say send a gif, and if you are having a lot of anxiety as the ghoster of ghosted then remember that the biggest threat to relationships is miscommunication and that the other person is just a human being whose flawed and nervous too. And if they really are ghosting you because they hate you it’ll probably become clear after a certain about of texts, but honestly you don’t want that person in your life anyways. 2) my strategy is to purposely leave things unread until I’m in a place where I can response so that I have the little notification number at the bottom to remind me to open it later. It tends to work most of the time so I do recommend…
