A Plea from the Heart: I Am Fatima, and This Is My Story

My name is Fatima, a teacher from Gaza. I used to work in a small school I loved dearly, planting hope in the hearts of children and teaching them that tomorrow could be better. But the war took everything away. My school was bombed, I lost my job, and our home was reduced to rubble. Yet, I refused to give up. I set up a small tent amid the destruction and continued teaching children, showing them that knowledge is a light that cannot be extinguished, even in the darkest times.

My husband, Akram, was my partner and pillar of support. But he was severely injured in an attack targeting civilians. His abdominal injuries are so severe that he can no longer work or even lift basic items. Every day, I see the pain in his eyes and feel the weight of helplessness, but I try to stay strong for him and for our children.

Our eldest, Manar, is four years old, and she’s missing out on her childhood amidst this devastation. Our youngest, Ibrahim, was born under bombardment just a year ago. He has suffered greatly due to the lack of milk and proper medical care. Yet, sometimes, he smiles, and in those brief moments, I find the strength to keep going.

We now live in a fragile tent that doesn’t shield us from the cold or rain. Every day is a new battle for survival. I write these words while holding my children’s hands, with nothing left but my faith in God and the hope that your kind hearts will hear our plea.

Please help us provide milk and food for our children, ease Akram’s pain, and rebuild even a small part of the life the war has destroyed. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference in our lives.

I ask you to share our story and be our support during this harsh and unforgiving time.

My name is Suheila from Gaza 🇵🇸,

a mother of 5 children, living with my family in a tent after the war destroyed our home and everything we had. Hunger and cold have become our daily reality. My children wake up with nothing to eat, and I have no way to provide for them 😭

This is a video of my husband and I. We were running away from the place. Please donate to save my children’s lives.

We became homeless in the street

We are in desperate need of food to survive these harsh conditions. My children cry from hunger, and I feel helpless as a mother. Your support can bring us hope and relief. Every contribution, no matter how small, can save us from this unimaginable suffering 🥺💔

**Time is Running Out**

Imagine enduring a harsh winter in a tent made of tarpaulin, with nothing to shield you from the elements.

Every day brings the threat of freezing temperatures, and rainwater can flood our small space, putting us at risk of drowning. The cold can lead to serious health issues, such as chest infections and chronic illnesses.

I am pleading for help to save my family from this life-threatening situation.

Please, we need your support to escape this danger and find a safe place to live.

$3,158 USD raised of $20K goal!

Ahmad is only 14 years old and dreams of becoming a doctor. He is living with his 16-year-old sister and his parents. He is fundraising so they can buy basic necessities!

You can enter my freshwater pearl necklace raffle if you donate to this fundraiser!

🌍✨ A Voice from Gaza: Fighting for Hope ❤️‍🩹

Hi, my name is Mosab , and I’m from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.

This journey hasn’t been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from us—25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

Our Journey So Far

When I first reached out, I couldn’t have imagined we’d make it this far. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.

But the road ahead is still challenging. Every day, we’re reminded of how much we’ve lost and how much we still need to rebuild.

Here’s what life in Gaza looks like for my family right now:

🏠 Safety: The uncertainty of tomorrow weighs heavily on us.

😢 Loss: The absence of the 25 family members we’ve lost is a pain we carry every moment.

💔 Dreams on Hold: The future feels so far away when survival takes all our strength.

How You Can Help Us Cross the Finish Line Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference:

  • $5 may seem small, but for us, it’s a little relief, a moment of comfort, and a reminder that kindness still exists. ❤️
  • Can’t donate? Reblog this post to help us reach someone who can. Every share matters more than you know.

✅️ Vetted by @gazavetters ( #309 ) ✅️

Why Your Support Matters Your kindness isn’t just about helping us meet our goal—it’s about reminding us that we’re not alone in this fight. It’s about hope. It’s about survival. And it’s about giving my family a chance to rebuild our lives, even in the face of unimaginable loss.

Thank you for helping us get this far. Your generosity and compassion have already brought us closer to a better tomorrow, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

With all my love and gratitude,

Mosab and Family ❤️

Hello everyone. During the Ramadan period, many people in Gaza do not have enough supplies needed. Considering donating to Israa and their family. If not, please share this post as much as you can. Even the smallest amount of support can help someone out.

I hope you donate To buy suhoor for my family in Ramadan🥺🍉❤️🇵🇸

A story to boost the morale of a broken country.

Ok but the article is actually insane. It starts with telling you about this specific incident and then drops on you the fact that train robberies are happening more and more in recent years and a couple of reasons are because there are so few railroads is very easy to figure out which one is carrying a specific shipment *and* that because trains are forced to be so long nowadays (many are multiple miles long) they don't even know they've been robbed most of the time until it's long gone.

yay for the train robbery renaissance

It's just so... surreal. Richest (and one of the most powerful) guy in the world begging his internet followers to be real niceys to him because online lefties making fun of him hurt his feelings, but neither him nor his followers would respect him expressing that kind of vulnerability so he has to somehow spin it as trolling and #Owning the radical lefties.

Wish more people were protesting??

Here's the thing, fellas. What people need, before we act is, we need evidence that other people are also doing the thing.

It's called "Social Proof" and its baked into our neurology. It's a big part of the reason so few people are participating in the resistance right now. It's why the news not covering the protests is such a brutally effective tactic. And why the lack of cohesive dem leadership is such a blow.

It's also literally THE EASIEST effective action to take irl, and it's impossible to do wrong - thank the gods!

*** GET VISIBLE ***

about your beliefs. Fly a flag, make a car sign, yard sign, window sign, bumper sticker, wear a big patch, paint a hoodie, paint a mural, paint rocks - ANYTHING. Do anything that's VISIBLE.

The more we show, the more it tells other people's brains that they can act too. Is this signaling?? You betcher ass it is. What it's NOT though, is empty signaling. In this time with corporate virtue signaling melting like wet kleenex, a lot of folks are wondering who has their backs. Well thats US. WE have your backs. We have OUR backs. The more we show, the fewer nazi's feel empowered to act. The fewer bootlicking officials think they can bowl over your town. Every not visibly progressive space is a space nazis will assume shares their white supremacist values

Even if your people are not "political yard sign people" they may be able to be convinced that now is the time to get tacky with it. See if you can get the neighbors on either side of you to Get Visible (against fascism) with you - or the whole block - there is safety in numbers! I understand it may not be safe for you, and obviously please run that equation. Possibly leave more art/signs in public spaces. But leave room to be surprised at who wants to participate in fighting fascism.

This week, commit to doing 1 thing to Get Visible, and to get 1 other person to Get Visible too. Pause now to put in on your to-do/calendar, I’ll wait :] Okay great, now think of 1 friend to video call with later, and make it crafty fun. Go ham!! Tell us in the comments, or rb with pics to help inspire the rest of us to GET VISIBLE. It may seem small or silly but it's very literally how YOU can get this movement off the ground and fucking save our country and our people.

*** GET VISIBLE! ***

This could have been a moment when the Democrats stood up as one in a great Spartacist moment of political resistance... instead we got Al Green with the bravery to not back down.

Remember barely even a week ago when the New York Times editorial staff put out an article calling Trump's erasure of trans people abhorrent, but took no responsibility for their role in it?

Yeah. About that
