RUPAULS DRAG RACE ALL STARS SEASON 5

shea couleé [ season 9 ], miz cracker [ season 10 ], alexis mateo [ season 3 + all stars 1 ], blair st. clair [ season 10 ], mariah balenciaga [ season 3 ], india ferrah [ season 3 ], jujubee [ season 2 + all stars 1 ], derrick barry [ season 8 ], mayhem miller [ season 10], ongina [ season 1 ]

I want to get this point across as clearly and politely as I’m thinking it, wich might be though, as english is not my first (nor second) language: I’m not in any way shale or form condoning, excusing, or trying to diminish the situation, what Sherry did was absolutely disgusting and I’m glad that the victims can maybe have some sort of clousure on the aftermath of the news getting out.

The point I found mysef wondering is: How could Sherry mot think this was gonna happen? How could she not even get in front of the situation on amy of the many weeks that have passed aince she was first cast and later filmed the whole season?

My boyfriend and I were playing a bit of Devil’s advocate and were trying to think of ways Sherry should have acted, aside from the obvious “not like a fucking catfish P.O.S.”, we came to the conclusion that he should have first, contacted privately (maybe via a buffer person like an attorney) every single one of the guys he took advantage of, apologise to them and most importantly, offered some sort of reparations for what she had done in the past to them. Also, an open letter on her SM admitting her behaviour, showing remorse and, explaining why she did it, as twisted as it might be, something to make us try to at least offer her a second chance, and also try to avoid the huge pile of shit that has landed on the whole season and her castmates, none of whom deserve to be associated with this kind of news.

All of this should have been done even before the cast was announced, even before filming the season. She should have come clean of this as soon as she allegedly “grew up” as she said in her statement (Or whatever bs she wrote, can’t recall now)

I know that we LGBTQ+ people are forgiving, and we all understand ostracism, so we can relate with how she might be feeling this days, but it’s hard to forgive when it’s that evident she doesn’t give two shits about the way her actions affected her victims and how them also reflect on our community.

I’m kind of digressing, so I’m gonna stop now. But yeah, that’s how I feel on the topic, she was one of my faves after the MTQs released, so I feel almost like betrayed after all this shit. I cannot imagine what her castmates may have gone through these days, imagine mettimg a new coworker a whole year ago, binding with him and when the time’s is coming for your close-up everythingis tainted by the past behaviour of somebody else.

Also I ask, is it too late for her? Is it still time to right a wrong? And should she be allowed back if she did?
