Hello everyone--welcome to my little blog! Here I just have fun screaming my nonsense into the void and occasionally writing things. I post a lot about Linked Universe, Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, Doctor Who (Tenrose specifically), Star Wars, The Wingfeather Saga, The Silver Eye webcomic, Final Fantasy, Austen, Louisa May Alcott, random books I'm reading... whatever strikes my fancy. Stuff about my oc’s and independent writing is under the tag “val’s ocs.” I try to keep a clean, wholesome, SFW blog around here, so please be respectful.

I’m currently in the process of organizing all my one-shots and drabbles under the tag “scribbles,” but you can also find a lot of those at my Ao3, sailforvalinor. As for long fics:

Joker and Ace — This is a NuWho spinoff fic following an aristocrat from the 1830’s and an amnesiac Time Lord as they gallivant across time and space. They will run into the Doctor and other companions eventually, but for the moment, this is all original characters.

Harry Potter and the Untitled Fix-It AU — this is more a collection of one shots and prompts that all exist within the same universe—basically, if I ever write something Harry Potter, it will (likely) be in this AU. James and Lily survive the attack on Halloween, Harry still has the scar, and he has a younger brother named Monty.

For those who are not familiar, the Death Note is a supernatural notebook from the titular manga and anime. The basic rules of the book are as follows:

If someone writes the name of another person in the book while visualizing their face, that person will die.
The time, cause, and circumstances of death can be specified within reason.
If details are not specified or are not possible, the victim will die of a heart attack.
If the owner gives up the book, they lose all their memories of owning it.

For the sake of the poll, if more than one motivation applies, select the most important one. The definition of the options and the specifics of the fantasy are not particularly important here, I am mostly interested in the moral stances and rationale of other people.

I stand by that no one should have that power but am not shocked that most are for it in order to murder for political reasons using the Book With The Power No One Can Truly Withstand Abusing.

I strongly doubt anyone saying yes has anywhere near a clue what the weight of killing another entails and are drunk on their own self righteousness that will only result in more and more death as that need to feed and justify that righteousness grows.

"I don't need God to be a good person. Also I can justify murdering whoever I want because I am a good person."
