This breaks the record of Strom Thurmond, segregationist asshole senator from South Carolina, who spoke for over 24 hours in a futile attempt to kill the 1957 Civil Rights Act.
earlier this week Twitter user ppuccin0 tweeted about a fashion article that advised against tops with large floral patterns, saying the wearer was in danger of looking like a "ロマンティックおばさん," or a "romantic auntie." the tweet went viral with many agreeing that a "romantic auntie" sounded like a very nice thing to aspire to be, and some even posted illustrations or photos tagged with the trend

Little Winged Castiel as the Meaning of Life
🌈 Hey, look at this! 🌈
Queer historical fiction! 🌈 I'm about half way through, and it’s great! It'd have to be to tear me away from fanfic (picture me wandering disconsolately around my local library, meeping plaintively, "Where are the filters? Where are the tags?")
Here’s a bit about the author:
And she's on Tumblr! @kdayshauthor
I think this novel would be perfect for Hornblower shippers and anyone who likes exciting stories with convincing characters. There’s a really nice portrayal of a lavender marriage too. Also pretty savage period-typical homophobia, obviously.
Honestly, I doubted whether I'd ever pick up a printed, published novel again, but I'm glad I did. (Still love my fanfic, though).
My younger daughter Helena is doing a 10km run to raise money for the hospital where I have been treated for the last ten years for leiomyosarcoma, a rare type of cancer. I know money is tight and there are so many worthy causes, but I'd be very grateful for any small donations.
My children were 4, 7 and 9 when I was first diagnosed. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the time to see them grow and be here for them. My treatment options are slowly diminishing, but I'm determined to be here for them as long as I can.
And you'd think ten years living under a shadow would have been awful, wouldn't you? Well, yes, sometimes. But in that time I discovered fandom. I discovered fanfic. I've read, I've written, so much! I've learned to draw figures and portraits and I've discovered so much wonderful music! I've had an amazing, full, colourful, joyful life. And I want more. So, fuck you, sarcoma!
