Since you're searching for vase paintings I think you might get interested into this one:

Now, the depiction of Perseus and Andromeda on it are already very familiar, but on the other side of the vase there are painted two female figures, namely Cassiopeia and Aphrodite. I didn't manage to find any ancient text where Aphrodite's presence or role in this myth is mentioned, but the idea of Aphrodite having a conversation with Andromeda's mother during the time when Perseus was about to save her is on itself interesting.

I looked it up, here’s a more detailed photo:

The identity of these female figures is unknown, I’ve seen it theorized that it’s Demeter and Persephone. One of them could be Cassiopeia but it’s unfortunate uncertain.

It’s not uncommon for Erotes to be flying around in a romantic scene, especially with Perseus and Andromeda, but this is the first time I’ve seen Aphrodite herself being present for this couple falling in love AND giving them her blessing by placing a wreath on Perseus.

So I’ve found this vase, the part of the description that really stood out to me is the slaves carrying Andromeda’s possessions to be sacrificed with her. Which is pretty morbid especially since ppl at the time buried their dead with their possessions, Cepheus might have done this to bring his daughter a bit of comfort? Since she can’t be buried in the conventional manner she should at least still have her stuff, tho it probably made her even more horrified by her situation lol

Here’s another painting with a similar scene of Andromeda being prepared for sacrifice with her possessions and Cepheus watching on, here he actually looks upset lmao. But the difference here is that Perseus is also present, I thought his hat looked like a dog but nope that’s just the normal winged cap lol but you can see he’s shocked by the scene before him.

This is so fucking funny why would Prometheus need some random white American woman to help him? Doesn’t he have a wife? Wasn’t he literally freed by Heracles? Unsurprisingly Heracles and Pronoea aren’t even mentioned lol

Also the fucking audacity to quote Aeschylus’s Prometheus Bound to make your book seem more sophisticated and clever than it actually is and make it seem like you’ve read it when obviously not?

“Every storyteller had their own version, which was why she didn’t pay them much attention” oh I can tell the author was projecting her ignorance lmaoooo

Also further proof the author didn’t do any research:

So umm… this exists? I was gonna dunk on it as usual but as it turns out… there’s barely any info on it online???

The author rarely advertises this on her Instagram and the book isn’t even on her website or on Amazon, hell it doesn’t even have a blurb on Goodreads. This book is supposed to be out for over a year yet there’s almost nothing on it.

Apparently the author supposedly made a romance book with Zeus and I’m just more confused bc am I crazy or do the blurbs not make a lick of sense???

Like I don’t know shit about the plot, the setting, the characters names or literally anything about it, does the author just not know shit about how to advertise a book??? This is why ppl get mad when booktokers advert tropes and nothing else, how the fuck are you supposed to actually bring in new readers when we don’t even know what the book is about??? Like I don’t even fucking know if this is a mafia romance or dark academia or both, this is so amateur it actually hurts me.

Dawg why are you lying…

The Eleutherides (Ἐλευθερίδες) – "The Liberators"

• From Eleutheria (Ἐλευθερία), meaning freedom, sovereignty, and independence.

• This name reflects their divine mission to protect the forsaken, restore balance, and punish tyranny.

Means For champions of liberation and divine intervention → The Eleutherides

is a cruel name because they aren't free they are trapped and couldn't get revenge on Zeu tyranny for what he did to them and loved ones and their kingdom's

Sorry I couldn't repost
