Hi, I'm going on another Tumblr hiatus, probably for the entire month of March, that's what I'm going to try for, but even just a few weeks would be big. The last time I spent a month without Tumblr was in 2022. I'll probably make a few posts here to promote my band's music or support fundraisers, but I'm going to try not do anything else. I will miss you all terribly. You can find me on my new bluesky and maybe do some stuff on my Instagram vee_ivy_music. See you soon enough.

EDIT: and unfortunately I'm posting a lot on Reddit too...

I'm always talking about "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill" nowadays because I think it falls into the sweet spot between "Beatles songs that are kind of hilariously akward" and "Beatles songs that are extremely underrated". I honestly don't know if most Beatles fans think this song is just bad or if it's actually pretty well-regarded because nobody fucking talks about this song. Which is wild because it's such a weird fucking song.

It's not just to have a "do over" that doesn't involve the original cast, it's to cut them out of the royalties. Literally the entire point is to make sure all the money made by Harry Potter goes to transphobes or people willing to work with transphobes.

If you watch it, you are supporting bigotry, hate, and oppression. That's just objective reality. All for a story that you probably have already seen in movie and book form.

“Chironomid larvae are opportunistic omnivores (they can eat pretty much anything that can be eaten) but they are also classified by their main feeding modes; collector-gatherers, collector-filterers, scrapers, shredders, engulfers and piercers. Of course, one species can fit in multiple feeding strategies!

These larvae play an important role in aquatic ecosystems since they're a major food source for fish, frogs, birds and semi-aquatic mammals. They also are litter decomposers, rock cleaners and are important for nutrient recycling. Chironomid larvae are also very sensitive to polluants such as pesticides and are thus used as bio indicators of freshwater quality!”

Some of the best Beatles songs actually start out evil and fucked up and then midway through the song it suddenly abruptly turns into happy pop music

"Happiness is a Warm Gun" is like THE iconic definitive example of this, but can we also appreciate that the chorus of "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill" hits like a jumpscare
