I knew about top "nullification" surgery where even the nipples are erased from your body, but today I learned about bottom "nullification" surgery. When you think you've seen all the ways in which patriarchy exerts its power, you find another one. Of course it was someone who's female and identifying as non-binary who did it. I saw the pictures. She's in her early 20s, had the option to get the nerves out (so not being able to feel anything down there) but at the last moment was convinced by her mom to keep them. Still, that surgery consists of sewing everything shut except a small hole to urinate. This is the "modern" FGM, the "everything is a choice" option and they (surgeons and people who support this) will try to draw you as the villain for pointing out the issues before ever questioning the ethic of such surgeries. If you're asexual then your sexual organs won't force you to have sex, you can live without using your vagina for sex or delivering babies for that matter. Your body is not a customisable machine from which you leave out the parts that you don't like at some point in your life. The hegemony of capitalism (which dehumanises humans and try to make robots out of us) coupled with patriarchy is what made this horror possible.

You can have a been a young girl raped by a man and getting deeply traumatised for it to the point you want nothing to do with your body anymore, and greedy surgeons will take advantage of this distress and clear ptsd. I am full of rage. I won't ever stop fighting for women's liberation and having this as my priority when the situation for girls and women regardless of how they identify and everywhere around the world is this terrible.

"Diane, tell me about the roles that lesbians play. butch, femme, and all that. You ever do that?" The camera zooms out to show (Diane's) entire body and then "no, no I don't (everyone laughs)"

That's so cute like hm I wonder lol I love silly butches !! I love you Diane!!

"No, I just play Diane. I've always been the same"

An archive clip from the film, Lesbians (1986) a sit down style documentary of 3 women discussing what it means to be a lesbian in the 80s.

Very weird of you to insinuate that I don't know anything and that im forcing boxes onto people essentially? The whole reason why everyone laughed is because she IS butch. Don't talk down to me on my posts EVER. what the fuck. Especially! ESPECIALLY! because that's not what's being said here at all. She is saying at the end of the day she is still herself she is still Dianne no matter how she identifies. Fuck you actually.

AND! I'm not done. To say that butch/femme is the progressive way of asking who's the man in the relationship is just fucking stupid of you

YOU hating us- hating butches studs and femmes is a YOU problem. If you think butches and studs are men and that this is how you ask "who's the man" then there are bigger fish to fry here. And again fuck you for talking down to me on my posts.

“i want a soft masc!” “i want a tomboy fem!” i want a butch. i want a woman so masculine that my parents call her “sir.” i want a woman who wears muscle tanks, leather jackets, and combat boots. i want a woman with more pit hair than she has hair on her head. i want a woman with broad shoulders and biceps that are 20 inches around. i want a woman who can walk into a room full of men and be the most masculine one there. i want a dyke. i want a butch

“Butch4femme is heteronormative”

“Femme4femme is for the male gaze”

“Butch4butch is too stereotypical”

“Strap sex is heteronormative”

“Scissoring is for the male gaze”

My god can we just be gay in peace damn

advice to the young lesbians out there: who you actually are as a person is infinitely more interesting, endearing, and overall better than trying to emulate some fabricated persona of the ideal cool lesbian you see online. be silly. be goofy. have a unique sense of style. like weird things. be loud. be awkward. be dorky. we’re LESBIANS. we didn’t get into this business to try to conform and look like the cool kids. that’s never what we’ve been about.

yes, butch is a strong and “aggressive” term. that is the point. what is being a butch if not to be tough, to be seen as vile in the eyes of men who value your existence as nothing less than a threat to their masculinity, to fight against the system which portrays you as such beasts in the first place? it irks me the main people who speak venom on "butches" and the butch identity are lesbians who use the term mase to describe themselves or their lesbian peers, but will turn around and call themselves "girlypop" or "princesses". portray yourself how you want and there is nothing wrong with being in touch with your femininity/ feminine alignment, but what is masculinity to you? does it scare you when a lesbian is too masculine for your taste? do you not see the reasonable and very much needed defiance that comes with being a butch, being masculine or even as far as being perceived as a man, yet still clinging onto your lesbian identity despite it all? how can you live such a sheltered life in which "butches" are where you cross the line yet want to call yourself a supposedly proud dyke? you don't have to identify with the word butch. but you should at least be willing to understand and comprehend the importance and the value of such an identity in lesbian culture.

I need to get the chaos demons the fuck out of my life and be my own chaos demon a.k.a. agent of change
