Luigi Mangione has been locked up since December 2024, and he's been met with nothing but the violation of his rights every step of the way. Luigi's right to be treated humanely is constantly violated, as is his right to the presumption of innocence and a fair trial. Evidence is not being provided to his legal team, and he's being treated with prejudice by law enforcement.

Luigi is not a handsome face and a few jokes online. He is a real human being with real pain and real health issues. Luigi is a young man fighting for his life and the media is doing nothing but trying to sexualize him and make light of his situation.

Luigi has already lost so much to this, and although he remains resilient, it's important to remember that his circumstances can't possibly be good. It's also important to remember that if they can do it to Luigi, they can do it to more people, to your loved one, to you.

So please, keep talking about Luigi. Keep standing by Luigi. Keep supporting Luigi.

Never let Luigi Mangione walk alone.

There's this interesting phenomenon where when you're a child, or some other vulnerable minority dependent on a job for shelter, you are actually under duress almost constantly. You can't say "I don't want to work today," you cannot say "I don't want to do the dishes, actually," you cannot choose not to participate. In a lot of cases, the punishment is explicit. Your parents might yell at you. Your boss might fire you. But in other cases, it's implicit. The mood will sour. You lose leeway. People get mad at you. And that creates a really shitty environment where you're constantly being coerced to do things!

And here's the kicker; you're not allowed to acknowledge that. You cannot acknowledge that you are being coerced, you cannot acknowledge that your free will is not being respected, because that's punished too. Your boss insists that you act excited. Your parents punish you for acting surly. You are forced to fake enthusiastic consent, constantly. It's a fucking nightmare. Your hand is being forced, you do not have the option to say "no," and if you ever, for a second, try to acknowledge that, everyone acts like you're the aggressor.

#THISSSSS IS WHY I'M A HATER RE: THE ENTIRE CONCEPT OF POSITIVE ATTITUDE #why is it not sufficient that i have acknowledged that some tasks are necessary regardless of if I enjoy them or not? #why is it so important that I perform happiness about cleaning my bathroom? i don't actually want to be doing it (via @steorran)

hello all, i noticed a lack of resource online for people who are curious about intersex genital mutilation scarring later in life without having to dig through surgery gore photos. i threw together some diagrams here (content warning for discussion of IGM and drawn genitalia diagrams) of the major surgeries that are completed on intersex children. worth noting this is based purely on my own research, and i am not a doctor, and i of course am not running around doing these surgeries myself. im absolutely free to corrections or adding more diagrams if other surgeries are brought up.

this trans day of visibility, i want to highlight and celebrate intersex trans people.

society ignores intersex trans people and tries to erase this overlap. and also ignores complex intersex experiences around gender. society denies our intersexuality, or our transness, or both. even in queer circles we are often seen as "basically cis" or "basically trans" or "intersex aka own separate species that can have nothing in common with other queer people."

intersex trans people are often denied gender affirming care. intersex trans people get their bodily autonomy attacked both as intersex and trans. even in trans accepting circles like gender clinics, we often face ignorance and incompetence.

people feel entitled to know and question our anatomy, physiology, transition goals, identities — everything about us.

our bodies belong to us. our identities belong to us. our experiences belong to us.

we deserve bodily autonomy. we deserve representation. we deserve recognition. we deserve celebration. we deserve pride.

intersex trans people, i love you.

Enough psychoanalysing why people have kinks. We need to psycholanalyse why they don't. Like you don't enjoy getting tied up? Clearly your tumultuous upbringing has given you a patholgical need to be in control at all times. Don't like fauxcest? That's because your petite-bourgeois class background means you view the nuclear family as a pure and sacred institution, automatically reviling anything that undermines or subverts this. Not into piss? That's easy; you're scared of the piss gnomes

sorry to get political again but as a binary trans girl with a modicum of common sense:

theyfab is a gross thing to call someone and if you call people that you’re gross

I'm a binary trans man and I wholeheartedly agree. it's so so gross and stupid. I see the word and it just makes me want to puke. get tf out of here with that shit

as the third trans person in this reblog chain, yeah, fuck that word. I wish I could physically harm the person who invented it because it makes me SO angry when people attack... well shit I can't find a word for this. trying to say all the possible ways a... OH COME ON BRAIN NOT EVEN MY FUCKING EXPLANATION WILL LET ME SAY A WORD FOR THIS???

something something female sex something something please don't get mad my vocabulary is currently SHHHHHIT I will cry

Transfem enby here, may have found the words you lost: Its enbyphobia, which is a form of transphobia plain and simple.

The term itself minimizes both their gender identity and -as I've typically seen it used- their experiences with the queer community or with oppression.

treat black queers kindly and love us. that's all.

and don't add any stupid shit derailing this, this is about black queers only. make your own damn post.

please if you're going to reblog this, please reblog this addition so people get the memo along with:

listen to our voices and make us feel safe and comforted.

They’re scared because they know that the public is with Luigi.

They’re violating his rights because they need to maintain capitalism.

Keep talking about Luigi.

Video captions: And stop trying to show your ex what they missed out on! Stop trying to teach your family a lesson for not believing in you! Stop trying to shit on your haters! Do it for you! Do it because you deserve it! Do it for YOU! Water your dreams with love! Don’t put no hate and resentment, and try to — “oh Imma fucking show them, Imma show” — FUCK THEM! Fuck them, do it for you! They don’t matter! They NEVER mattered.

How to interalize this.

see the THING IS I don't feel like I ever worked hard enough to have "earned" the burnout, which is. probably how we got here.

Like it feel pathetic for us to say that we were burned out before starting highschool but damn did it feel like we never got a decent rest. Whether that's from the sucky homelife or a fundamental incompatibility with the 5 day work week they were training us for, no one can say.
