"Transautistics aren't making a mockery of autism!" = "Endos aren't making a mockery of systems!" "Radqueer ideas help fight all sorts of bigotry" = "Pro endo ideas help fight anti-system rhetoric" "What Trasrace people do/identify as doesn't affect you!" = "What endogenics do/identify as doesn't affect you!" "You don't know a Transabled person's experiences better than they do!" = "You don't know an endo's experiences better than they do!" "Why do you care if a Tramsharmed does something dangerous, it's their choice!" = "Why do you care if a willo makes a headmate, it's their choice!"

I'm just saying, pro endos talk a lot about how we have very similar logic to transmeds, meanwhile they make arguments that are near identical to radqueer arguments.

These are all arguments I've heard from both radqueers and endos, having been in quite a few of both spaces just to see if I was wrong about either.

Note: I'm not by any means saying that pro endos are "basically radqueers". Trust me, one is significantly worse in ever possible way, and I assure you it's not the endos that are the most dangerous. I've seen plenty of both, and know better than anyone that saying they're basically the same thing is extremely ignorant of what actually goes on in both communities.

I'm just trying to get people to talk about this in a more nuanced way. If pro endos can talk about how similar we are to transmeds, we can talk about their similarities with radqueers. Seriously, can we PLEASE talk about this in a more nuanced way than "Anti endos = transmeds!! EVIL!!!!" This isn't as airtight of an argument as yall think it is.

Okay so we're going to go over each of these in a way that we would like anti-endos to go over the anti-endo to transmed (more accurately truscum) comparison.

Firstly, we're going to go over our position on the other 5 issues, and why that's our position. This will undoubtedly include controversial statements.

Transautistic: From a perspective of what actions they likely take, I don't know how I would distinguish between an Allistic person 'attempting to become autistic' and an Autistic person attempting to stop masking. Excepting of course the branding, which could be a factor of imposter syndrome. Because I will fundamentally never know, I feel I cannot rebuke them.

Radqueer: Seems to largely encompass everything else you've listed, but also paraphilias and such? I think people should be able to be open about these things, but if it extends to promoting harmful actions then I must rebuke them.

Transrace: I don't believe in transrace because I do not believe there is any innate psychological component to race. They don't effect me but I find it likely they effect racial communities negatively. I defer to those communities.

Transabled: I honestly don't care if someone wants to become disabled. I believe in morphological freedom and so if someone with BIID wants to cut off a leg and is happier for it it's no skin off my back.

Transharmed: I would bet the desire to be harmed in that way is itself born from trauma, and that being harmed isn't going to alleviate any feelings they have on the matter. If not before, then I would hope that they would seek therapy afterwards, at least. I am forced to acknowledge that I can do nothing to stop them if I did object.

Now we're going to go over how each of these views relates to syscourse.

1. I would hope that everyone understands that they also cannot know someone else's mind, and that anti-endos would be open to the idea self proclaimed endos may in fact have trauma they do not recall, and treat them kindly thusly. Many seem to not, sadly.

2. Doesn't seem to relate? At all? I certainly don't see it.

3. Everyone here is familiar that there is in fact a mental state associated with being... More Than One, shall we say, so that doesn't relate. Most would say that transrace does harm racial minorities, and anti-endos claim that endos harm traumagenic and CCD communities, but I find the latter to be lacking in support for that claim.

4. Live and let live. May be seen to contradict with our view on 3, and to be honest we would most likely change our tune on that if we lived in a society without the complex dynamics regarding race and racism but that's just 'what if the world was made of pudding'.

5. Likewise I don't see how the view or the analogy relates. We understand that anti-endos have a view that headmates only come from trauma, but they (you, we suppose) should be aware that no willogenic guides include being traumatized at any point? You could certainly make the claim that attempting to make a headmate will in some way harm or traumatize yourself, I suppose, but unless that's substantiated I see no reason to as much as lament what they're doing as I did with those who identify as transharmed.

We have a feeling like we're going to be called a radqueer and ignored for injecting some nuance here but assuming we still have anyone's attention, I am going to go reiterate the anti-endo and truscum analogy.

Truscum and anti-endos are similar in that both recognize that a certain psychological state (being trans and being more than one, respectively) exists through direct personal experience. Each will claim that there is only one to arrive at this state (gender dysphoria, trauma), and reject any other proposed methods, each therefore claiming those who claim to experience the same or a similar psychological state via some other method or ways liars. Claim that that 'lie' hurts them in some way. Claim that they take away resources from those who are really trans or more than one. Claims that neither have substantiated as we have seen.

The last two types of claims are claims about external reality that I should expect be substantiated by evidence.

The first is a negative claim about psychology. It's not one you will find in any book or study and seems to necessarily lead to...

The second type of claim. Which is a claim about the internal mental state of another person, which -and I should not need to explain this- they have literally no way of knowing.

The counter I expect to this is that endos need to prove that they exist themselves via a study. This is, frankly, mind boggling to me given that my justification for excepting both endos and non dysphoric trans people is that every person, alter, headmate, etc is the one and only best source as to what is occuring inside their own mind.

So, as it is, I remain unendingly curious how one (or many we suppose) justifies rejecting the truscum belief that you have to have dysphoria to be trans, but not the anti-endo belief that you must be traumatized to be more than one.

i CANNOT stop thinking about this job ad. i am absolutely losing it over the implication that someone is going to apply to this job who 1) loves chasing birds and 2) is disturbingly competetive about it

Dream job.

Do you really think the people who firmly believe that folks with others in their head are demon possessed or murderers care if the psych establishment considers us disordered or not?

btw saying "i am a doctor" OR "i am studying medicine" as a justification for your syscourse take has the same energy as "erm actually my father owns Tumblr and he's going to ban you"

no one believes you're actually studying medicine.

It's also a mere argument from authority. If they had good reasons for their stance, they would list those reasons. If they were a doctor, I would hope they were informed by studies, and not tumblr posts!

my dad likes to call the stretches of time where you’re not creating “dreaming periods” and says that they’re meant to allow you to absorb all of the beauty, life, and inspiration from the things around you so that when you’re able to create again, you will have fanned your spark back into a flame. sometimes its hard to see those moments as anything but stagnation, but he always says that they’re natural and healthy and needed—things that should be embraced rather than feared.

Luigi Mangione has been locked up since December 2024, and he's been met with nothing but the violation of his rights every step of the way. Luigi's right to be treated humanely is constantly violated, as is his right to the presumption of innocence and a fair trial. Evidence is not being provided to his legal team, and he's being treated with prejudice by law enforcement.

Luigi is not a handsome face and a few jokes online. He is a real human being with real pain and real health issues. Luigi is a young man fighting for his life and the media is doing nothing but trying to sexualize him and make light of his situation.

Luigi has already lost so much to this, and although he remains resilient, it's important to remember that his circumstances can't possibly be good. It's also important to remember that if they can do it to Luigi, they can do it to more people, to your loved one, to you.

So please, keep talking about Luigi. Keep standing by Luigi. Keep supporting Luigi.

Never let Luigi Mangione walk alone.

There's this interesting phenomenon where when you're a child, or some other vulnerable minority dependent on a job for shelter, you are actually under duress almost constantly. You can't say "I don't want to work today," you cannot say "I don't want to do the dishes, actually," you cannot choose not to participate. In a lot of cases, the punishment is explicit. Your parents might yell at you. Your boss might fire you. But in other cases, it's implicit. The mood will sour. You lose leeway. People get mad at you. And that creates a really shitty environment where you're constantly being coerced to do things!

And here's the kicker; you're not allowed to acknowledge that. You cannot acknowledge that you are being coerced, you cannot acknowledge that your free will is not being respected, because that's punished too. Your boss insists that you act excited. Your parents punish you for acting surly. You are forced to fake enthusiastic consent, constantly. It's a fucking nightmare. Your hand is being forced, you do not have the option to say "no," and if you ever, for a second, try to acknowledge that, everyone acts like you're the aggressor.

#THISSSSS IS WHY I'M A HATER RE: THE ENTIRE CONCEPT OF POSITIVE ATTITUDE #why is it not sufficient that i have acknowledged that some tasks are necessary regardless of if I enjoy them or not? #why is it so important that I perform happiness about cleaning my bathroom? i don't actually want to be doing it (via @steorran)

hello all, i noticed a lack of resource online for people who are curious about intersex genital mutilation scarring later in life without having to dig through surgery gore photos. i threw together some diagrams here (content warning for discussion of IGM and drawn genitalia diagrams) of the major surgeries that are completed on intersex children. worth noting this is based purely on my own research, and i am not a doctor, and i of course am not running around doing these surgeries myself. im absolutely free to corrections or adding more diagrams if other surgeries are brought up.

this trans day of visibility, i want to highlight and celebrate intersex trans people.

society ignores intersex trans people and tries to erase this overlap. and also ignores complex intersex experiences around gender. society denies our intersexuality, or our transness, or both. even in queer circles we are often seen as "basically cis" or "basically trans" or "intersex aka own separate species that can have nothing in common with other queer people."

intersex trans people are often denied gender affirming care. intersex trans people get their bodily autonomy attacked both as intersex and trans. even in trans accepting circles like gender clinics, we often face ignorance and incompetence.

people feel entitled to know and question our anatomy, physiology, transition goals, identities — everything about us.

our bodies belong to us. our identities belong to us. our experiences belong to us.

we deserve bodily autonomy. we deserve representation. we deserve recognition. we deserve celebration. we deserve pride.

intersex trans people, i love you.
