“i got this for you.” riki mumbled, his voice nearly a whisper as he approached your sitting figure. you looked up from your phone to observe your boyfriend who towered over you, his arm extended with a small bag in hand.

“i was in hongdae with jake and found this store. the clothes reminded me of your closet.” he shrugged, a small smile on his face. as you began to open the bag, riki sat in front of you. the boy would never let you see it, but he was always nervous when gifting you things. his heart raced as he waited for your reaction, it was important to riki that you liked whatever he bought you.

you pulled out the prettiest frilly skirt you had ever seen in your life. it was pink with lace detail on it— definitely something that would fit right into your wardrobe. your boyfriend knew you so well.

a wide smile crossed your face which made riki’s heart swell with love. he truly loved your smile so much, especially when he was the one who caused it.

“i love it!” you squealed, before tackling riki to the floor in a hug. the boy began to giggle, wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his face into your neck.

“it was kinda embarrassing to purchase a bright pink skirt in front of everyone in the store but, anything for my girl.” riki teased, lightly pinching the sides of your waist. you scoffed, pulling back a bit to look at his face. riki tried to bite back a smile but the corners of his lips twitched a bit and you instantly knew that he was only joking.

“yeah right— you loved the idea of buying something for your amazing girlfriend.” you replied, a smug smirk on your face. riki rolled his eyes before pulling you back towards his body.

if you had to pick a favorite season, it would definitely be summer.

the sun shining bright as you wake up. the birds chirping heavenly at you window to welcome you in the morning. summer break starting. going shopping whenever you can, meeting your friends. finally stepping foot in the sand and greeting the sea after a long time being away from it. waiting for it during most of the year, there is just joy that fills your body when you can see the season peeking it’s nose — you already plan your summer’s hang outs at the end of spring.

it’s a perfect season, really. even the heat waves people tend to complain about are perfect. you always go through the most hot days of summer with a water bottle, your dear fan and the cold floor of your room you lay on during the whole day. curtains covering the window but not totally, you are almost in the dark for the entirety of your day— it’s not good for your eyes, your mom always scolds you, but you don’t care. during a weather like this, you barely do anything, anyway, if it’s not staring at the celling, though you can’t properly see it, and go to the kitchen when you need to.

this is the reason your back rest on the bare floor while you wear an oversized tee and a short right now.

“oh how bad i want mochi right now.” you grumbled as you passed by a grocery store. it was early in the morning, the sun already shining down on you and your boyfriend as he walked you to your company building. you had early morning practice in order to prepare for a comeback and you were very hungry.

a sign displayed on a store window with a half eaten green tea mochi made your mouth water— but you didn’t have the time to make a pit stop. you also didn’t want to hear your manager complain about you consuming sugar before having a proper meal (it was also only 7:30).

jake chuckled at your whiny tone, trying to ignore the rays of sun that we’re currently assaulting his eyes. he tried to keep his complaints to a minimum, especially since he offered to walk you. but boy was it humid…

“we can get all the mochi you want after practice.” jake spoke up, causing your eyes to light up. but once you realized that your schedule was jammed packed the whole day, you suddenly frowned. jake noticed your change in expression and pinched your cheek playfully.

“but i want it now.” you groaned, staring at the sign until jake had to grab you by the arm and drag you away from the store.

“chill out, mochi monster, we can get some tonight.” he chuckled, using a nickname he had made up for you once he realized how much you adored the treat.

“there’s no time for me today. and don’t you have a schedule too?” you asked, looking up at jake with sad eyes. the boy’s small smile dropped when he saw your lack of one. even if it was over something silly and small, jake hated to see you upset and he also never wanted his favorite girl to go hungry.
