steam's tagging system is probably the worst possible metric for managing a games platform because ultimately the tags are aggregated by people who have no fucking idea what any of those terms mean.
A Boomer Shooter is any game where you shoot a gun and it looks old - apparently.
An Immersive sim is any game where its simulating something - apparently.
