HI I'm Shapeshiftaer.

You can call me Shape. I can speak german and english. I've been creating costume for over 10 years but only recently decided to make a tumblr.

I will share all of my work here, progress photos, cosplay photos & maybe tutorials!

Currently working on these projects:

I used to make a lot of costume from the horror genre but was burned out with it after a few years. (They were all made out of latex and it was too uncomfortable to keep doing it.) I want to focus more on crafting with foam and sewing again.

When a project finally comes to an end and you ask yourself..was it worth it? Absolutely it was! ✌️ I definitely want to change the wig a little and the makeup as well but I am SO SO happy with the outcome. Man I made that. (Yes I will post the photos after this video.)

The sword + sheath. Next time you will see this cosplay is when I'm wearing it! I am so hyped to see myself in it!!! ✨️ Months of hard work.

The sword I made for my Adar Cosplay. I repainted it a little. Added more silver to it.

It's made out of foam, foamclay and cosplayflex.

Oh my god progress? Yup. 💀👍 The majority of my Adar cosplay is done. I need to finish the second belt. Touch up the sword and recolor it a little and then I'm done. Things aren't 100% like the original because some details were hard to make out so I gave it my own little touch as well. (The breastplate sadly doesn't fit on this type of mannequin.)

This took longer as planned but I finished another part of my Adar cosplay! There isn't that much left to do now! I had to remake this like 3 times but now I am happy with the skirt (yes I still don't know what this is called).

I took as much videos as I could. Here's how I made the chestplate for my Adar Cosplay! The base is made out of 5mm foam that I carved the details in with a dremel. Then I added some leather straps at the edges. Covered the whole thing in leather and dremeled all the lines again to have them pop out more. Repeat that for the backside and the collar (collar is made out of 2mm foam). For connections I used leather straps at the sides and buckles at the top. A little sand and paint to make everything look used and dirty and DONE!

I have finished Adars chestplate! Not 100% like the original but I am very happy with it. Actually re-did the collar with a thinner material. Also added some sand and colour for detailing and to make it look a little dirty. (I love making things look broken and ugly on purpose.)

After a lot of testing and resizing the breastplate now fits 100%. It is not done yet. I have to do some hand stitching on it and add the collar but so far I am really happy with it. Ignore the straps you can see. They will be shortened and I'll add a proper attachement on them. 😁

Looks a little weird on my mannequin because sadly I only have a female one. 👹 But the front of Adars leather armor is mostly done. Tomorrow I will do the back.

Did I EVER share a full body photo of my Buggy cosplay! No? Well now I have. I made the shoes as well....one day before a con. But they turned out so good and really completed the look.

When I first cosplayed Buggy I just HAD to recreate the THRONE SCENE. And it worked out!

The editing on this took hours but it was worth it. ✌️ Sooo Cosplay, photo and edit all done by me. The background is obviously from the offical set of the One Piece show.
