“The innocence died with Laura Lee” I’d argue if Laura Lee was around everything would be so much worse. She believed Lottie was a prophet and her visions were messages from god she would absolutely enable everything they did because she would truly believe it’s what god wanted. Laura Lee believed in Lottie’s visions when there was no reason to whatsoever. Imagine how she would act once Lottie started getting things right. She probably would’ve had deep religious psychosis and be the most deranged out of all them. I think it’s what makes her so interesting her already unwavering faith tied with the wilderness and what it turns them into is just so interesting to think about. But unfortunately we’ll never know. Rip my crazy queen you had so much potential 😔

Aren't you worried about what we're gonna have to tell people? All of the lies we will have to memorize and be on the exact same page about? Everything we've done out here, what happened to Jackie, and Javi, and... No matter what, we can't trust the scientists. Oh, shit. We're gonna have to kill them, Van. And even then, someone could slip up when we get home, and then everyone would know what we did, and I don't know what would happen, but it wouldn't be good for us. Our futures would be fucked. This will follow us for the rest of our lives. This place will follow us for the rest of our fucking lives. Why is no one thinking about this?

the greatest unrequited love of yellowjackets is not jackieshauna but actually other tai and van. other tai would do anything for van, but van will always be disgusted and frightened of her. will always prefer tai, even when tai abandoned her for 25 years, even though it was other tai who asked for van, who was still thinking of her, all those years later

the fact that after all this time, shauna and the rest of the girls may be ready to fill jackie’s role but to nat she’ll always be their captain… i’m sure it kills shauna that in their moments of crisis everyone seems to look to nat and not shauna, the now-declared leader… reminiscent of her final journal entry before the cabin burned
