Yandere Ferid Bathory - Character Sheet I
Trigger warnings: kidnapping, objectification, extortion, threats, physical and emotional abuse, murder
Attributes - What sort of Yandere is he/she?
In all his actions, Ferid would be graceful, and that would include his pursuit of you. Even if he would struggle at any point in time, his body language and speech pattern wouldn’t betray any distress or frustration. Most of that would be casually brushed off, or remarked upon with sharp words. There would never be any swear words or name-calling from him, though he would still find ways to insult and demean you. He would go to length to fit the picture of rococo aristocracy, and therefore you would be subject to similar aesthetics. It would be all lace and frills and stays and elaborate hairdos. He would also subject you to etiquette lessons, if only to watch you squirm.
Speaking of squirming, he would also be sadistic to boot. Ferid would redrive great delight for making and watching you squirm. There would never be peace for long, for even if you would comply with his every demand, he would give you hell on a silver platter, because it would amuse him. He would live for your horror and your fear and your despair. As such, he would always be very careful not to fully break you. After all, broken toys are not any fun.
The meticulous care he would showcase towards you would sharply contrast with the pain he would delight in inflicting on you. While in most cases, he wouldn't bother to clean up after him, yet you would be the exception that would confirm the rule. He would also be very thorough and attentive. No matter what would happen, he wouldn't let you neglect yourself or self-harm. Any attempts to end your own life would be crushed quickly, because he wouldn't want you to start thinking of death as a means to escape him. No, when he would be springing one of his little games on you, then you would be pampered and catered to. Part of his spiel would be to induce Stockholm syndrome, or at least a trauma bond. Which would tie into the next topic:
Ferid would be extremely controlling. While he would listen to you, most of the time, he would seldom actually fulfil your wishes. He wouldn't ignore your words completely, since your demands would give hints to your state of mind. Additionally, he would make it a point to sometimes indulge you, in order to throw you off centre. The prerequisites would never be named, and he would make sure to hide or constantly change any patterns. That is, as long as he wouldn't want to induce a Pavlovian response. Nevertheless, you wouldn't have many freedoms in your life with him, since everything would run according to his tastes and schedule. From your entertainment and whereabouts to your clothing and meals, everything would happen according to him. The little control you'd have over your own life would usually amount to choosing your words and your willingness.
To make matters worse, he would have a love of being whimsical. Of course, he would hold ambitions and have plans, yet everything not fully fleshed out or outside of that would be subjected to his Impulses. Once you're secured, you would fall under that category. Life wouldn't be consistent and you would be at the mercy of his moods and drive for amusement.
Cornering - How would they get you?
With the carrot and the stick most likely. Or he would merely play the part of tempter, like the snake in the Garden of Eden. At first, you would have the illusion of free choice with the hope that that would be more likely to draw you to him. He would go to great lengths to present himself as the lesser evil, so that you would seek refuge in his arms and heed his every wish in fear of him leaving you alone to face the big bad world on your lonesome. Besides, you would be less inclined to resist his machinations if you were of the impression that they were all your own choices all along.
Failing that, he would let his worst sides show and put the absolute monster out to sundry. You would be quaking in your boots at the mere mention of his name, so when he would corner or approach you, you would assume the worst. Instead, he would formulate his intentions in the form of an offer that would be too generous to dismiss. You wouldn’t be able to fathom your luck and agree without giving the matter deep thought - that would be to your detriment.
Or could present his conditions as an ultimatum, that you would accept since the price of refusing would be too steep and you would have no means of fighting against him. It would be something like demanding your obedience in exchange for the lives of your friends or something else along that vein. Of course, he could fully play into the archetype of the devil and win you through trickery and skullduggery. Ferid would never much like the latter option.
Expectations - What do they expect of you?
Living with him would mean that he would expect you to occupy a … doll-like role in his life. You would come out or be brought out when he would want to play with you. However, he would loath for you to occupy his time when he wouldn’t desire your presence. While he would provide a servant or two to fulfil your needs, he wouldn’t want to bother you and wouldn’t really keep your needs in mind that much. On a large part, you wouldn’t be regarded as a person with agency and so your tastes and wishes would always be secondary, or even tertiary, to his. Like a doll, you would also have to be taken care of to be kept in pristine condition and dressed for the occasion. Like a doll, you would be forced to go along with his whims. And like a doll, he would be surprised if you would act against him. The latter wouldn’t be on the account of him believing everything that he says or thinks would be right, it would be more outrage about you acting against his interests or also you thinking that you are equals or that you’re above him.
Another thing that he would expect from you, would be for you to have some pride. Where would the fun be in just being able to walk all over you? You should bite back, at least in the beginning. Having the task of taming you would be exceptionally entertaining. It would also mean that you have a backbone and an identity of your own. There would also be his quieter moments where he would loop you into a debate or a conversation with him, and you having your own view of the world would make everything a lot smoother. Besides, it would be a fire that he could stoke whenever it would get low, thus preventing you from breaking.
You should also have the capability of reading between the lines. While direct communication would be an option, it would be more fun to wrap layers and layers of meaning in a few simple words. In such a manner, he could leave you guessing about his true intentions. Furthermore, he could then use you as a tool to his political ambitions, another chess piece that he could wield against his opponents. It would also be one of a handful of ways that he would bond with you. That way, you welfare would also hinge on him and you would have a vested interest in his continued existence.
Additionally, you should be malleable to an extent. He would want to give his finish touches to you and then call you his masterpiece. He would be too lazy to start from scratch and to vain to not credit himself with something. It would also mean that it would be easier to acclimate you to your new living style and would mean that he would install values in you that you wouldn’t lose anytime soon.
Faded - Would they let go of you in any way?
As much as he would like to pretend otherwise, it would be more likely than you'd think. One of the cases where he would let you go, would be if you'd die. There would be no use chasing after the deceased, in his opinion. At least that is what he would tell himself all while his undead heart would scream for you. On a large part, he would exercise strict control over himself to prevent himself from drowning in grief or going so far as to chase after your ghost. Pining after you even after you would have passed on would be seen as weakness and Ferid would hate to be seen as weak.
The other circumstance where he would relinquish you, would be if he'd grow bored of you. Of course, there would be a lot of poking and prodding before he would really give up on you. Some very … unorthodox methods would be used to “spice” your relationship up. You might be relegated to a mere blood bag, or he would go out of his way to kill you. A selfish and possessive man that he is, he would shudder at the thought of anybody else deriving enjoyment from you. To prevent that, he would end your life.
Punishment - How would they proceed if you do something they disapprove of?
On this front, Ferid would be very brutal at times. Perhaps he would murder somebody in front of you to get you back in line. He would place full responsibility on you, say that you forced his hand, say that you could have as well thrust the knife into their heart, because he would just be the manifestation of the consequences of your actions. As such, he wouldn’t take credit to the creatures that he would kill in your name. Adding on to that, he would hold your loved ones hostage to make you behave. Step out of line and they would be harmed, trying something major and they would be injured, try to escape or work against him and somebody would die.
Your misfortune would be that Ferid would be very creative with his punishments. If something wouldn’t warrant his immediate attention, then he wouldn’t breath a word about it or show any other outward sign of his true thoughts on the matter. He would let you think he either forgot or overlooked the transgression. But then, he would spring a punishment onto you out of nowhere, and often with no clear explanation as to why. The suspense and uncertainty would be part and parcel of the punishment according to him. He would want you to lay awake at night in fear of what he would do. The side effect this would have would be to lend him an appearance of omnipotence.
One of his lesser and still favourite punishments would be to break you by talking. Bathory would have a way with words, and be capable of drowning you in a sea of words. Aside from that, he would gaslight, guilt trip, manipulate you. He would blackmail you and pluck at your heart strings, he would demean you and make you feel stupid. All of that would be done with relish and in ways that would showcase his experience. All the while, he would never raise his voice or resort to name calling.
On a more severe note, he would have a love for physical punishment. He might as well stab or slash you with a sword, as a way to make you feel inferior and vulnerable. Maybe he would be sadistic enough to give you a dagger and depict it as a fair fight then. Or he would tie you up in an uncomfortable position and make you abide like that for a few days. To make matters worse, he would keep some mediaeval torture instruments - surely you would love to meet this iron maiden or the hair shirts.
Reaction - How would they react to you escaping?
Two options would come to mind here. The first one would be that of amusement. To him, the fact that you’d think that you can escape him would be utterly adorable. High chances are that he would know about part of your plans, and would have spotted a few opportune places where he could throw a spanner in the works. Depending on his mood and if he would have the desire to teach you a lesson or not, he might intervene or not. Not intervening would occur when he would want you to behold the foulness of the world and its inhabitants and therefore willing return to his tender mercies. Or he would ruin your plan in order to smash your hopes. Part of that would entail getting your hopes as high up as possible. Or, as a little psychological experiment, he would act oblivious to your intentions, and give you a chance to redeem yourself, or to be honest; just whatever he would prefer that particular day.
The second option would be him falling into a quiet frenzy. On the condition that he would be alone and unobserved, then he would obliterate the room he would be in or his nearby surroundings, and then walk away as if nothing happened. He would act swiftly in the hopes of you not having gotten far and him being able to capture you swiftly. Doubtlessly he would then try to make it look like he foresaw every one of your moves and that this would just be another spiel of his. If that wouldn’t be the case and you would already be out of his reach, then he would be restless, and prowl around like a shark searching for the seal that escaped it. Every trail that would exist would be examined and followed. Should you be retrieved, then there would be hell to pay - he would make you regret even considering a life without him.
Turnabout - Scenario: You have the upper hand? What would be different from their usual MO?
Not well at all. You being the top dog in this little game between the two of you would defy the natural order of the world according to Ferid Bathory. There would be various attempts to knock you off your pedestal, ranging from underhand to overt, from craven to legalistic. If you would exert power over him for a long stretch of time, then he would become increasingly petty and desperate. This would be when he would be most dangerous, since he would cease caring out his own wellbeing in order to achieve the ends he would be obsessed with.
Vengeance - What would they do in the face of competition?
In small matters, he would be surprisingly flippant about it. And he would be just as flippant during the eradication of the competition. He would enjoy having an excuse to tear somebody apart and make you watch. Ferid would talk about the execution before, during and after it like a young man reminiscing about last Christmas. The colour scheme would definitely be appropriate, he would tell you.
If it would be somebody that would have been more important to you or have come closer to taking you away than he would be comfortable with, then he would also take more time ending their life. He would pack out the old torture methods and take his time to de-rust his skills in those categories. Ferid would keep you in a room close by, so that you could hear the screams.
The worst would happen to those that he wouldn’t be able to move against immediately, be it due to the mentioned third party being more powerful than him, being essential to one of his plans or untouchable in another fashion. The vampire would seeth and plot and thirst for blood in more ways than one. Here.he would be liable to acting rashly, because he might as well let his hunger get the better of him. The offender would have to be knocked off their high horse and thoroughly humiliated. Then, he would keep them alive to gloat and parade you in front of them, to illustrate how much they’ve lost. If he could kill two birds with one stone then he’ll readily jump at the opportunity.
