I’ve been drawing stuff for the Mario franchise for almost two months now, just dipping my toes in, haha. I wanted to break in for a moment here and thank everyone for the incredibly wonderful welcome into the community… seriously, I read ALL the comments, hashtags comments, and reblogs comments, on the posts!! They have been extremely AMAZING and supportive! Like GAAAH~!! 🥹✨ I just can’t thank everyone enough for the kindness given to me when I drew these characters for the first time or slowly been trying to figure them out into my style! I’m overly honored that people even comment that they like the lil changes I do sometimes to help me draw them! You guys have no idea how much I smile reading your interactions!! They make the days brighter. ;;w;; I just wanted you guys to know how much I truly appreciate it and how much you REALLY DO change my whole mood for the better!

I’ve been a fan of the series for a long time, but never thought I’d be drawing stuff for it! x’D But, man, has it been silly fun! 🤩 Can’t wait to continue drawing more! I’m definitely glad I decided to just try and draw Mario stuff for the first time this year. Its been nice stepping out of my bubble of mainly only Pokemon art to find another thing that I just simply… enjoy drawing~ 💖

Sorry that I suck at being actively engaging, but I really do appreciate everyone who comments or writes little stories on my drawings (call out to @vulpixfairy1985 , again thank you so much for you cute and wholesome stories!) and just the all around support! I love sharing my art and ideas, but I often find it hard to be active beyond just posting them. I get socially drained so fast and life takes a lot out of me daily, I usually just end up in my own little corner. But, I still want to show my gratitude, that I do again read everything and how much y’alls comments truly lighten up my days. It warms my heart to see people liking my ‘Monster’ Friend fancomic or my ‘The Cursed Lands’ AU. 🥹✨ Forever honored and flattered guys! Thank you. 💖

THE CURSED LANDS AU

(Some of the older art at the bottom); Where Mario & Luigi accidentally use a cursed super leaf that turns them fully into their tanooki & kitsune forms. Luigi has a larger ninetailed form he can go into for a short time and Mario able to transform into anything for a short time. Mainly just them going through a new place called the Cursed Lands based on the Spirit World in Asian folklore, filled with other yokai-like things and trying to figure out how to return to their human forms. Bowser also gets hit with the curse, making him into a komainu(fu dog) and he does Bowser-like things, lol. Ya’know causing trouble and being destructive. Not a lot of thought behind this, yet, haha. Just another little thing done for fun and because I super adore yokai and Asian folklore and wish Nintendo would make a Mario game more focused on that!

Things to keep in mind about this comic: • Everything stays 100% PLATONIC between Luigi & Bowser. Sorry to have to mention this everytime, but the amount of times I have to repeat that this is a friendship focused comic is crazy. x'D Again nothing wrong with the peeps that ship them, but I definitely want to show the value in friendship and family love too! <3 Not everything needs to be a romantic story. • This is an fancomic aftermath story based on the 2023 movie.

I admit I’m not that into ships in whatever fandom I’m in. xD I have always tended to gravitate towards the platonic parts of it. So, the brotherly fluff of Mario & Luigi, the friendships between the characters and the animal companions!

Still, I have no problem with the ships like the brothers with the princesses or one of the brothers with Bowser or P. Peasley or whatever f/f ships and such! I think the art is cute. ^^ But, probably won’t see ME drawing ships very much, lol. 😆

One of the things that really got me into drawing for the Mario Fandom was playing and beating Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the first time a few months ago (super late to the party, I know, lol) and just adoring seeing Luigi with his emotional support dog that also jump scares him occasionally, haha!! I just have the biggest soft spot for animal companions. :’3 I ended up giving Polterpup floppy ears because as you put in LM3 E. Gadd little comment on Polterpup. xD So I based the ears and making him more fluffy off of a golden retriever. ^^✨ Also my dog that passed away a few years, who inspires a lot of my Polterpup and Luigi art/why I end up drawing them so much, also had floppy ears (she was an Australian Shepherd/Collie) and Polterpup kind of reminds me of her. :’0 <3

Aww, that’s really kind that you think so! Heh! ☺️ I always used AU (or fancomic) with anything done by people outside the original creators though. While yes, I am following as closely as I can to the original source material, it’s still exploring "what if" scenarios or different settings and my own version of the aftermath events. It’s still alternative stuff that most likely will not happen in the second movie! xD Hope that makes sense??
