So recently a pic of sunset and rainbow was uploaded. I think the context was dash stole a newly wed sunset, but she was happy about it. I'm curious as to where it came from. Was it a commission or for fun?
Oh hey, they uploaded it already. Cool. Yeah, it was for a commission. I don’t know the whole story behind it, if there’s a fanfic or just a favored headcanon or whatnot.
Important things first: If we talked about work, either at Bronycon or online, let me know. I’ll be opening general commissions soon and want to know how much I can take on. I was more burnt out after BronyCon than I realized so I kinda just disconnected for the entire month, other than some work on Moonset. But I can’t keep that up forever, no matter how loudly Warcraft Classic is calling. So commissions will open soon. The amount of slots depends on how much I owe that my goldfish brain forgot about.
I did this as a gift recently for one of my patrons who is in a rough place and contacted me while contemplating suicide. I didn’t know what to do besides offering encouraging and understanding words, and I am not good with words, so I drew this for them as the first thing that I could think of, as they love twiluna. It feels a bit much to say, far more credit than I feel able to give myself, but this drawing may have helped to save a life…. They said it was okay to share it publicly, so here it is. Dedicated to all those who are in, or have had, dark times, and to those who have lost people to suicide. I struggle with depression myself, and although I’ve never been close to acting on the impulses, suicidal ideations are a common thing, and intrusive thoughts of self-harm a constant companion. The smol bat is Pterus, an OC of @silfoearts, and the pic is somewhat influenced by one of her drawings as well.
