hashiru! tooku! todoku! 2dmv is REALLY underrated imo (+ the song as a whole). reasons include:

  • lyrics labelled with their names, making the line distribution clear
  • really nice effects e.g., the feathers, the "GOAL" on haruka's first line + at the end
  • cute art!
  • the little weather forecast that glitches when it starts to rain
  • the LABELLED STEPS right after?? it says "turning point" i LOVE that
  • that and the footsteps
  • the numbered steps on miku's line about falling down that lead to a puddle
  • the rain + the effect on it of them running (2nd chorus i think)
  • the wow-oh part. just that. it's really visually pleasing
  • the mmj-coloured petals šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Akitoya WLs is a FUCKING BREAK UP SCENARIO

TOYA QUITS BAD DOGS

He thinks that Akito doesn't want to see him again

They meet up face to face

Give him this look

He's achieving his dream ALONE WITHOUT TOYA

Toya is studying Overseas which he doesn't want to look at Akito if he's still mad that he QUIT entirely

People have been hyping up the idea of severe angst way too much after Mizu5. Don't get me wrong Mizu5 was a good event but why does every event need to be about/resemble it? It happened with Akito5, it happened with Haruka5, it happened with Kanade5 and now it's happening to VBS WL2. It was especially frustrating with Kanade5 because people got mad it wasn't the next Mizu5.

NO ONE FUCKING TALK TO ME šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

it is the way this scene holds so much power in just 10 seconds -- the monochromatic filter representing toya in his darkest times with music, slowly fading into a colorful scene. that colorful scene representing the feelings he now expresses, the love he'd always had for music.

the white feather that falls down symbolises new beginnings, purity and peace, with toya coming to peace with his feelings towards music, as well as looking forward to a new start for himself
