online dating messages update

i worked on my online dating messages mod a bit more. my last post about this got a few "likes" in my notifications and i was like oh i should probably return to that......

i'm pretty happy with the platonic messages and rejection messages but i'm not satisfied with the selection of romantic flirty/pick-up line ones.

i swapped out some pickup lines with negging messages and typical introduction messages, but i don't know. i want the messages to be funny/absurd/satirical, without being actually offensive. i find backhanded compliments funny (in this context) but it might not land that way for everyone.

keep/remove the negging ones? release it as-is?

also, you are welcome to inbox me any cute/funny safe-for-work pickup lines you can think of to include this mod!

Just some random photos of Nancy’s room. We got an update with some neat pride items, so I added them to her room. 😊 Also, Nancy was up at 5am, and as she ate her microwaved breakfast burrito, she put on a telenovela. From what I could gather, a dark haired young woman catches who I assume is her husband cheating on her. Then, their son, a kid sim, and the family dog want pizza, so the son and the dog get in the dad’s car, and the sonaccidentally run the dad over with it, but he and the dog their pizza so they didn’t seem to care? 😳 Then, at the hospital, the mom, son still carrying his five boxes of pizza, family dog, and some man who might be a relative or something enters. Only for them to find out that their doctor is the husband who got run over’s secret twin, and it ends on that cliffhanger. Dun dun dun! 🤯😅 I’m so confused but intrigued, and I wish they added new episodes for each watch, it reminded me of Indian serials I’d watch with my mom with so much drama and things going on. 😂

Two weeks later, Tess and Emily head to Captain Rodrigo’s cafe in Brindleton Bay. “You’ll like Tammy, she’s very sweet.” Tess says to Emily during the car ride, and Emily grins. “Ma, you told me this a hundred times, I’m sure she is.” She says, half exasperated and half amused. “Sorry, I’m just nervous.” Tess, and Emily reaches for her free hand and squeezes it. Tess smiles, squeezing Emily’s hand back. “Ma, I am happy for you and for mom, it’s just weird you know? You’re with Tammy and mom is with auntie Iseul.” She admits. “Oh nooboo, I’m sorry, is it too soon? Tammy will understand if I let her know you’re not ready.” Tess says, her brows knitting together, and Emily quickly shakes her head. “No, no, I want to get to know Tammy, it just might take some time for me to get used to this.” She says, and Tess nods. “You can take all the time you need, Emmy. Tam and I aren’t in a rush either and we’re starting very slow.” She says, and Emily nods.

They reach the restaurant, and Tess hesitates as they approach it. “Breathe, ma.” Emily says, and Tess nods, taking Emily’s hand and squeezing it. They head inside, and Tess lets the host know they’re meeting Tammy Ojo-Benali. Tammy’s eyes light up as soon as she sees Tess in her red suit, and they grin at each other as Tess eyes Tammy’s similarly slim cut suit, but in black. Tammy then glances over and smiles shyly at Emily, who smiles back. “Oh my gosh, you’re even cuter than your ma told me you were, it’s nice to meet you!” Tammy gushes, and Emily bites back a grin at her enthusiasm. “Ma showed you all my baby photos didn’t she?” Emily jokingly groans, and Tammy grins. “Yup, but don’t worry, she didn’t show the embarrassing ones,” Tammy jokes back, and Emily laughs. “Ma, I swear.” She says to Tess. “What? You’re my youngest baby.” Tess adds playfully and Tammy feels a fizzy feeling go through her as Tess playfully bickers with Emily, and she imagines the three of them decorating a Winterfest tree together, or cooking a grand meal for Bunny Day. Of course Emily would want to celebrate some holidays with her mom and mom’s girlfriend, but Tammy likes the idea of the three of them being a family and spending time together. Tess catches her eye and gives her a teasing look, and Tammy blushes.

Sims In Bloom POLL! : Name Angela and Emit's Twins!

Angela Pleasant will soon welcome twin girls with her FWB from the future, Emit Relevart. Because opposite personalities Angela and Lilith have opposite names (representing 'angels' and 'demons') and even opposite significant others (one from the future and one from the past!), I want to give Ange's twins opposite names and came up with a few combos.

BUT I want to leave the ultimate choice up to popular vote! I'm not opposed to additional suggestions, so check the comments in case anyone else comes up with some new ideas and reply with an upvote or something if you like that suggestion more! I will count it!

Choices are Sunny and Selene (sun and moon); Cosette and Riese (small and giant), Merisa and Maren (sand and sea), or Terra and Caeli (earth and sky). Last name TBD because Pleasant-Relevart is too long and we don't know yet how Emit's going to take the news.

If Sunny & Selene win, you bet Angela picked the name after meeting the wonderful Selene Romero. This honestly might settle it for voters, but counterpoint: the name Sunny Pleasant is kinda cringe and not in a fun Sims way. 🤔 But anyway!

I'll be happy with any selection, but I do know I'm hoping for at least one blue-haired baby girl (though more redheads are always welcome!)

I'm also very curious how Emit will react, but first things first: Lilith and Felix get married tomorrow!

Byron: Tiff had a gap year. She just started this term. Plus there’s like hundreds of students at the university

Thamira: Well if picking up guys is something you’re interested I can show you the best clubs for it- if you don’t already know that is

Tiffany: I do know. I spent my gap year as a professional club filler

Amy: *wide eyes* You did?

Tiffany: *laughing* No. I ate a lot of ice cream and streamed way too many shows
