Is the youths negative perception of Israel due to antisemitism or is it because israeli soldiers posted themselves on tiktok wearing palestinian women's lingerie 🤔
Is it antisemitism or is it the mangled bodies of palestinian children? Is it antisemitism or videos of soldiers making light of blowing up a school or mosque? Is it watching their government approve weapons transfers to Israel to attack a strip of land full of people with no capability to defend themselves? Is it antisemitism or the articles coming out that israeli soldiers admit running their tanks over people, using palestinian captives as human shields in buildings, or admitting they killed children? It's a tough call honestly
Is it antisemitism or is it simply recognizing that Palestinian lives (Arab lives and people of color lives in general) are human lives and being able to have empathy for them?
Is it antisemitism or is it recognizing settler colonialism and its violence against indigenous people, seeing ourselves and so many other people in the Palestinian struggle for liberation?

A Palestinian director of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land has been arrested by the Israeli army after masked settlers attacked his house. According to five Jewish American activists who witnessed the attack, Hamdan Ballal, one of the four directors of the the film that documented the destruction of villages in the West Bank, was surrounded and attacked by a group of about 15 armed settlers in Susya in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron. “They started throwing stones towards Palestinians and destroyed a water tank near Hamdan’s house,” said Joseph, of the activists from the Center for Jewish Nonviolence, who asked not to use his full name for security reasons. The witnesses said that a group of soldiers arrived at the scene alongside other settlers dressed in military uniform, who chased Hamdan to his house and handed him over to the military. ‘‘The settlers destroyed his car with stones and slashed one of the tyres,’’ another witness, Raviv, told the Guardian. ‘‘All the windows and windshields were broken.’’ Ballal was injured by the settlers and taken by the Israeli army.

The Oscar winning Palestinian director for No Other Land was beaten by Israeli settlers and kidnapped by the Israeli army.
Do NOT let this get buried. The filmmakers have been getting attacked by settlers since they won the Oscar, and now this.
The article above has information about what happened but the language it uses is disgusting. Hamdan Ballal was not “detained”, he was kidnapped. They took him from the ambulance transporting him and he hasn’t been seen since.
Spread this around, make sure everyone knows what’s going on. The Israeli army, government, and settlers are afraid of Palestinian voices so they use violence to try to silence them. They know nothing else other than violence and cowardice.
We won’t let this go unnoticed. Release Hamdan Ballal!

y'all, it was always going to end this way. from the moment mark scout told mark s. about reintegration, it was always going to end this way. mark scout literally looked mark s. in the eyes and said "we're going to have a life, and it's going to my life. we're going to live in my house with my wife and have the life i want. and you're going to like it because you're an extension of me." he didn't see mark s. as a person and that, in the end, was his greatest downfall.
mark s. did what mark scout asked. he fought his way to the elevator and he ran ms. casey to the stairs so she could be gemma again in the outside world. he saved the poor, tortured, woman trapped in lumon's basement because that was the right thing to do. but then, when faced with a choice between dying forever or turning around to try and somehow have a life of his own? with the woman he loves? of course he turned around.
this doesn't have anything to do with which ship is better or what was the most logical thing to do or even what mark and helly are going to do now. the point is mark s. stood there at the door, at the literal precipice of death, and said "i want to live. i want to live. i want to live." and come on, wouldn't you do the same?

no point in pitting mark against mark. innie mark & outtie mark are both valid in their feelings & lives. they both struggle to empathize w the other bc it’s extremely hard to empathize when it’s through a screen. when u don’t know the person. imagine it then also being YOU?? so u think u know what this person needs, wants, how they’ll just agree with you, etc. imagine just having a steady, baseline hatred for urself & then trying to empathize w another version of urself that u can never speak to face to face. then imagine being that other version & helping this woman u know get out of a terrible situation bc it’s the right thing to do & then watching her turn into a stranger. u can follow that stranger & end ur life, or u can turn around and live. neither mark is wrong for what they’re doing. they both love someone & want to live. helly and mark deserve to have a life together & gemma deserves to have her husband follow her out to freedom. that’s the whole point. severance is fucked up & no one wins except lumon. these are the consequences, & everyone’s just trying their best
