✰Just a teenager obsessed with Stanger things and fantasy shit✰

I've seen a lot of fics where Eddies friends react badly to him dating Steve.

I think they use any opportunity to embarss Eddie with old stories.

"Oh you're dating Steve harrington? Okay, hey Steve did you know when Eddie was 16 he accepted a bet to eat a handful of dirt for 1 dollar and didn't even take the money after eating it?"

It gets to a point where he doesn't want to bring them around Steve because Steve keeps telling Robin those stories about him, and she starts using them against him.

His friends go behind his back to invite Steve to their practices and shows so they can keep telling him stories.

They must embarss him.

Prompts: Gossip + flowers | Happy stobin month‼️

🌸🌺🌻🌼🏵

"Did you hear Mrs. Smith is pregnant?" Robin said as she poured water over some flowers in their garden, which they started after moving into the house Steve inherited.

"Isn't she married?" he asked, pulling out a dead flower and putting a seed in its place.

"Yeah, but apparently she was sleeping with the math teacher and is going through a divorce," she moves to another part of the garden. "She doesn't know who the father is."

"How do you keep getting all of this information?" He starts digging up another dead flower, "Are you spying on people?"

Robin laughs, "No! My mom's friends are really into gossiping, apparently, and my mom can't keep anything a secret."

"Seems like you can't either," he cackles as Robin aims the hose at him. He tries to shield himself but it's a lost cause.

He gets back at her by throwing a handful of dirt towards her.

I think Steve is a huge romantic and has the entire day planned out for valentines day.

He's the type to make reservations at restaurants, buys flowers, and chocleate hearts.

At first Eddie was a little put off by it, not used to that kind of stuff. But eventually he learned to love it.

Even trying to outdo Steve on valentines day.

But no matter what their holiday is filled with laughter and love.

The third year of platonic Stobin Month is almost upon us!

Here are this year's prompts well ahead of time. I've included a bonus prompt for each week* based on this tweet:

(*ish. Every 8 days or so.)

As always, use the tags #stobinmonth and #stobinmonth2025 when posting your pieces. There will also be an ao3 collection that writers can add their works to. The previous collections can be found here.

All kinds of fanwork all welcome! Have fun, and I hope to see you all in March! <3

What about Steve being a huge Corroded Coffin fan without knowing what the band members look like? Him meeting Eddie thinking he's just a regular guy and then they fall in love.

One day Steve plays one of their songs and is nodding his head and mumbling the words and Eddie is just surprised that he hasnt realized who hes dating. Steve even says that the singer kinda sounds like Eddie.

Steve only finds out when someone takes a picture of them and he sees himself online with the captain "lead guitarist of Corroded Coffin has a boyfriend?" Steve is all shocked and then Googles what the lead guitarist looks like and just sees thousands of pictures of Eddie

Once Steve and Eddie get their own apartment, they immediately start arguing about what kind of pet to get.

Eddie wants a cat while Steve wants a dog.

And for a few weeks, they go back and forth about which one they should actually get.

But the universe eventually picked for them.

One morning, Steve found a kitten hiding in the hood of his car, seeking warmth against the cold. Steve couldn't just leave it there, shaking and alone.

So, he takes it inside while he calls his job to say he needs the day off because he's "sick." Then, he takes the kitten to the vet to make sure it's okay.

By the end of the day, the apartment is filled with cat supplies, and Eddie comes home extremely happy.

A week later, Eddie finds a puppy limping and shaking behind the garbage can outside. He couldn't leave it there.

So, he takes it to the vet and then to the animal store and buys a whole bunch of dog supplies.

When Steve comes home, he's happy to finally have the dog he's always wanted. He still loves their kitten, though.

And in the end, the universe picked both. Eddie and Steve couldn't be happier.

Steve hoped they would all get out of this apocalypse together. Hopefully in one piece, but he'd take just alive.

And everything was going great until someone got bit by a zombie.

When Eddie told everyone they were all devastated. And only had 3 days to decide what to do.

Either let Eddie wander until he fully turns or kill him.

On the first day they all spent time with Eddie as a group. They didn't get much done but they all wanted to soak up the remaining time Eddie had before he was gone forever.

On the second day everyone started getting setemintal. Saying how much they love Eddie and how they'll miss him. And of course Eddie gave a very over the top speech about his love and appreciation for the group.

No one commented on how many jokes Eddie cracked during it despite him being teary eyed.

On the morning of the 3rd day Steve took him in the forest with a pistal. Preparing to be the one who shoot Eddie.

They chatted as if everything were normal, as if these weren't Eddie's last moments. And for a moment, Steve forgot these were his last moments.

Eventually they stopped talking once they've made it far enough.

They stood there silently only for a moment before tackling each other in a huge.

"I'm going to miss you so much" Steve says holding Eddie tighter. They've only been together for a month and a half and he's already losing Eddie.

"I know" he responds, "I'm sorry."

"Its not your fault"

"It kind of is," Eddie says, backing up a bit while keeping his hands on Steve. "I should have been more careful. I got careless that day."

"It's okay," Steve says, cradling Eddie's face in his hands, trying to memorize the way Eddie looks. He wishes he would have asked Eddie out sooner so he would have had more time to study every feature on his face.

"I love you, Eddie, more than anything" he crashes their lips together like he needs it breathe.  And maybe he did.

He's not ready to know how it feels to live in a world without Eddie. He just got him. Just got to know him. Just got to love him. He doesn't want to give it up.

"I love you too Steve, never forget that" Eddie says against his lips.

"How could I forget you?" He says resting their foreheads together.

"Can't believe I got The Steve Harrington to fall for me," Eddie says without a smile, "make sure to put that on my tombstone"

Steve laughs but it comes out wet. Tears filling his eyes as he tries to stop them. He doesn't want to make this moment worse by sobbing.

"Everything is going to be okay, promise" Eddie says before walking away from him.

Once he stand still Steve takes the gun out and aims it as his head.

"I can't do it" Steve admits lowering the gun as he starts to sob.

Eddie just takes the gun away from his shaky hands and pours out all of the bullets except one, handing the remaining bullets back to him.

Kissing Steve on the forehead before pushing him away, "Don't look back okay?" Steve nods and turns to walk away.

When he eventually hears the gunshot and a body hit the floor that's when he starts to sob until he feels a pain in his chest.

Because he just lost apart of his heart.

Since Eddie came to live with him, Wayne has seen him bring home many things.

Mainly bugs or hurt animals.

One time he brought home a skunk. Sometimes Wayne thinks he can still smell it.

But this? This is something else.

"Wayne I can explain" he says standing in the doorway with a jar.

A jar that has a pixie in it.

"That jar better have holes in it, Edward.'" He's praying that his nephew didn't hurt the pixie.

Pixies have been around for centuries and helping them will bring good luck. As in the pixie will most likely bring you gifts.

Hurting a pixie though?

He has heard some stories that would be labeled as horror if they were movies.

"Of course, it has holes in it!" Eddie says like it was ridiculous of him to ask, "I'm not stupid" Wayne thinks that is debatable but now is not the time for that.

"Yet you have a pixie in a jar" he sighs, wondering why this kid can't give him a break, "knowing what they are capable of."

"I know, I know!" Eddie says, looking down at the jar. "I just wanted to say hi, and then he attacked me! I didn't want to hurt him, but he wouldn't leave me alone!"

"So you thought putting it in a jar would make it like you," he says while getting up.

"Well no but I tried runng but he followed me"

He's going to need a beer after this.

"Give me the jar," he says standing in front of his nephew.

Eddie doesn't hesitate to hand it over.

Wayne walks out the door of the trailer and starts opening the jar, "I apologize for my nephew, he doesn't think before he acts. He's a good kid, please don't hurt him" he takes the top off and lets the pixie fly out.

It flies in front of Wayne’s face for a moment before smiling and nodding at him, then zooms off.

Wayne walks back into the trailer to grab a beer and start lecturing his nephew.

-

Over the next few weeks, Eddie sees the pixie, who he learns name is Steve, come by the trailer to give gifts to Wayne.

Eddie has tried to get close enough to apologize but Steve always files away the moment he sees Eddie.

But he also doesn't do anything to Eddie so he guesses that Steve likes Wayne enough to leave his nephew alone.

Which is good because pixies can be terrifying.

"Give him some fruit," Wayne suggests after hearing Eddie complain about Steve leaving once he saw Eddie pull up to the trailer. "He really likes peaches."

So Eddie cuts up a peach and puts it on a plate. He takes it outside to the bench close by and waits.

Steve does eventually show up but Eddie can tell he's still cautious of him because he doesn't immediately go for the peach like he would if Wayne was the one offering it.

Eddie smiles at him and pushes the plate towards him hoping to encourage him to eat it.

Steve must have decided to trust Eddie because he dives for the peach slices.

He watches Steve eat a really small amount of the the peach, but pixies are so small it was probably a lot to him.

Once it seems like Steve had his fill of the fruit Eddie sets a napkin down next to the plate.

Steve wipes his hands and face with it. Then he just sits there and stares at Eddie for a moment.

"Thank you" the pixie says. And honestly Eddie is surprised, he didn't know they could communicate with humans.

"You're welcome" he responds, tapping his finger on the table, "I am sorry about the jar thing, I really didn't mean to hurt you"

Steve reached for Eddie's hand and placed his tiny hand on top of his finger, stopping its movement.

"Its okay" Steve smiles at him.

Steve knew that one day he wouldn't be able to refuse to play dnd.

Especially since he was now dating a dragons master or whatever it's called. He can't keep up with all the names.

And don't get him wrong Eddie is great and dnd sounds sort of interesting but he's been against playing for so long he doesn't want to give up the act.

But he if was going to give up the act he was going to get something in return.

The kids were all gathered at Steve's house for a movie night.

They had 2 different kinds of movie night, one where they all actually watched movies and the other where the movie was just there for background noise while everyone either talked or worked on something.

Tonight Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin were making character sheets for Eddie's new campaign while trying to get Steve to join as well.

"Just play one campaign" Dustin whined for the 20th time that night. And probably the 100th time in his life.

"Are you ever going to let this go?"

"No! You have to play one now that you're dating Eddie. Aren't couples supposed to try out each other's hobbies?" He got him there.

"He's got a point Stevie," Eddie says finally engaging in the conversation after being glued to the TV. Despite the volume being low he was still watching it with intense interest.

"You're right, couples should try each other's hobbies" Steve agreed.

"Uh oh," Robin says without looking up from the puzzle she was going with Nancy, knowing what he was going to say next since he ran his plan through her first.

"I will play a campaign but!" He says before the kids could get too excited, "you all have to play basketball with me"

They all groaned. Except Lucas who was completely fine with this arrangement.

-

It was Saturday and they were all at basketball court in the park. Most of them were wearing their gym clothes.

Except for Lucas and Steve who actually had basketball jerseys.

Max and el were also playing since they wanted to join despite the fact they won't play dnd either.

And who was he to say no to them? The more the merrier.

Robin and Nancy were sitting at the bench in the shade, Robin saying she refuses to play a sport because she's too clumsy and Nancy saying Robin shouldn't have to sit alone. But Steve knows they just want to talk shit about them.

He wasnt going to stop them, he knew it was a lost cause to try to get them to join as well.

The only rule they had before playing was that Steve and Lucas couldn't be on the same team, 'it wouldn't be fair' Dustin said and everyone else agreed. Even Robin and Nancy.

So they ended up being the team captainsin on each team.

Steve's team was Max, Mike, and El while Lucas had Will, Dustin, and Eddie.

And it was going well! Better than Steve thought it would. Especially with how unathletic most of them were.

Steves team was winng, and despite Dustin whinning about how it was because Steve was older and had more experience he hasn't even made all the points.

He did score the first point but El scored the last 2.

It's was 3 to 1. The only point they had was from Lucas. Eddie couldn't throw for shit, Dustin kept dropping the ball, and Will was actually doing pretty well but was kinda being ignored because Lucas and Dustin wouldn't stop arguing.

He can tell eddie was getting annoyed with having to constantly break up their fights.

Their team only needed one more point to win and Mike had the ball.

"Pass it to me!" He yells towards Mike and he does pass it to him. Just way too hard.

Because it goes past his hands and right towardd his face. Smacking him hard in the nose and knocking him over.

He hears everyone gasp as he groans on the ground.

He heard the tapping of people feet on concrete, and on grass, get close to him.

"Holy fuck are you okay?" Despite his eyes being closed he can easily tell that's Eddie's voice.

"Damn Mike why did you throw it so hard" he hears max says. He also hears a light punch but doesn't comment on it this time.

"I didnt mean to!"

"I'm okay" Steve says while getting up, grabbing his nose when he felt something on his lip. Blood, of course.

"That would've been a great throw if I was a little bit farther from you," he says towards Mike as Eddie helps him off the floor and leads him to the bench despite saying he was okay to keep playing.

Everyone gather arounds him as El hands him some of the napkins she keeps in her pocket.

"If this is how you all act everytime someone gets hurt it's going to get extremely annoying as we keep playing" Everyone makes weird faces, except for Robin who was grinning.

And Nancy because Robin definitely told her.

He smiles. "You guys are going to want me to play more than one campaign, so you will all be playing more games of basketball."

While Lucas smiled, everyone else groaned.

"Holy shit, Ed," Steve hisses. "We're going to die."

Eddie, teeth chattering, rolls his eyes. "No, we're not, you big baby," he says. Sure, it's January and there's a foot of snow outside and the heater in their little shithole apartment is dead. But they're not going to die. "Go get under the electric blanket."

Steve shuffles off, still complaining. "You won't love me anymore if my toes fall off. You'll call me stump feet and leave me for a man with 10 more toes than me."

"Oh my god," Eddie says, laughing. Steve's lucky he's cute. "I'll love you even if both your legs fall off."

"Will you love me if I'm dead? Because I'm going to die."

"Oh, just you now?" Eddie turns on the burners and the oven, opens the oven door wide, and starts a pot of water boiling.

"I forgot you're indestructible. Unkillable."

"Hell yeah I am. Like a vampire."

"Or a roach."

"Wow, maybe I won't make any hot chocolate afterall."

"Eddie, nooo," Steve whines, instantly pitiful. "Baby, I love you and all your roach qualities. They're my favorite qualities."

"Okay, fuck you, I'm making hot chocolate for myself."

"Nooo," Steve wails. From the couch, Eddie can see him flopping over dramatically, already burritoed in two blankets. "I am forsaken. Left to despair and desolation. Banished into the cold, chocolate-less night."

"Damn, we've really expanded your vocabulary."

"Fuck you," Steve says, before falling back to whining. "Will anyone save me? Will anyone take this cold, weary soul into his arms? Where is my roach prince?"

Eddie, face hurting from grinning, takes over two mugs to the couch. "Here you goof, now quit bitchin.'"

"My prince! In all his gross, buggy glory!"

"Oh my god, shut up!"

After defeating Vecna, Steve and Robin move into an apartment together.

Not because they needed to or to save money, just because they wanted to.

But they couldn't even decide on what kind of decorations to put around the apartment, so they just stopped trying to have a theme.

They jusy bought whatever they liked even if it didnt match. And it really didn't match.

The couch was nice, it was black and soft but the rug was blue with a shark on it because Robin thought it was cool.

The vase with the plant that Steve was trying to keep alive in the corner was red.

The poster on the wall, and the only poster on the wall, was Back to the Future because Robin said it was "their movie," even though they both didn't pay much attention when they first saw it.

Everything else around the apartment was a random assortment of colors, either plain or with some silly design. The bowls and plates, the cups and mugs, the mats in the bathroom, the curtains on the wall, everything was all over the place.

Somehow, it ended up looking better than Steve's parents' fancy house and Robin's parents' boring house.

Their apartment had so much personality everywhere, and they both loved it.

Doomed to be together steddie where they dated for 2 years after Vecna then ended up having an extremely messy breakup.

No one really knows what happens, not even Robin or Wayne.

Steve and Eddie completely refuse to be in the same room together.

Which would be fine if they didn't keep bumping into each other all the damn time.

At the grocery store, record store, mall, even the gas station. They could not avoid each other.

It got better once Eddie left hawkins.

But when Steve moved to Chicago to be closer to his dad's office so he could take over his company one day, Steve runs into Eddie again.

At the only decent cafe in the city.

And they both knew that was only the start of it.

Before Eddie died two of his teeth resembled vampire fangs. Growing up he always thought it was really cool.

And he thought it was cool till the day he died.

And when he came back as some undead creature he thought it was even cooler because no one realized something was wrong with Eddie.

His teeth were sharper but they still looked the same.

But despite that and him being a little paler, everyone thought nothing had changed, that he had just gotten lucky and cheated death.

And maybe he did.

Or maybe Vecna brought him back to serve him.

But no one needed to know that. Yet.

They wanted Eddie to stay with Steve for 2 weeks before they allowed Eddie back into the world, just in case.

For the first 3 days Steve didn't notice anything weird until eddie started commenting on things Steve said when he was upstairs while Eddie was downstairs.

And how Eddie immediately knew Steve cut himself while making dinner despite him not saying a word about it.

So by the 6th day Steve was suspicious and started paying close attention to what Eddie did.

And on the 8th day, he finally got his answer, Eddie was different. Not the kind of different when a person almost dies, the kind of different he sees in supernatural movies.

Heightened senses, fangs, eyes that glowed red, Eddie had them all.

When Steve confronted Eddie about it he saw the red eyes but he soon realized his mistake of confronting Eddie without telling the rest of the group first.

Because Eddie started holding him captive. It was his house so he wasnt really being held captive but Eddie wouldn't let him leave.

And Steve knew he was listening to his conversations over the phone. He had no way of telling the rest of the group about what was wrong with Eddie.

Eventually he realized that Eddie was connected to the upside, that he was connected to Vecna. Eddie had no choice but to be loyal to Vecna.

So, Steve was determined to find a way to either tell the group what was going on without Eddie knowing or sever the connection Eddie has with Vecna on his own.

He knows it'll be hard but what choice does he have?

steve: i know what you are

eddie: gay?!

steve: i know youre- wait what?

eddie: oh. nvm

steve: no wait what

steve and eddie:

steve: i was gonna say a vampire :/

eddie: oh.

"You aren't going to get anywhere from just starring at him from wayyyy back here" Nancy said randomly appearing behind Eddie in the water.

"Jesus warn someone next time or wear a bell" he said glancing at her for a second before looking at the merman that was laying on the rook a few waves away.

"Me warning you won't make you go talk to the merman you've been stalking" she snickers.

"I am not stalking him! He just keeps running into me" he said swimming down into the ocean so his eyes are only visible, "without knowing"

Nancy rolls her eyes, "just go talk to him" she says waving her hands in the man's direction, "he's sitting right over there"

"Did you forget merpeople don't really like sirens? Or do you need a reminder" Eddie spits at her.

It was true, sirens and merpeople aren't the friendliness to each other. But when there is only so much ocean that's liveable you make things work.

Still, sirens and merpeople don't really cross paths, and especially don't fall in love with each other.

That would cause so many problems.

"Its not my fault you fell in love with a mer-" she stops mid word watching another figure come out the water and start talking to the man they were watching, "maid. Wow"

Eddie rolls his eyes, "that's ovbisouly not a mermaid it's a- oh. Ohhh" he smirks, "seems like I'm not the only one who likes merpeople huh?"

They watch as the 2 mermaids interact.

"She's so beautiful" Nancy says, "we definitely should go talk to them"

"After you Wheeler" she doesn't move.

"Maybe we should just watch them for a little longer, not stalking, just admiring"

He rolls his eyes again, "and you call me weird"

He falls silent when she shushes him.
