Requesting financial assistance for a displaced family to return to their home Today we appeal to you to show solidarity with a displaced family who is experiencing great difficulties in returning to their home. This family was displaced due to difficult circumstances, and now faces major challenges due to the rise in diesel prices, making it impossible for them to bear the transportation costs and return to their place. The high cost of transportation due to the high cost of fuel has become a major obstacle to this family’s return to their normal lives. We need your help to provide financial support that will enable them to return to their original place of residence We hope that you will cooperate with us to help this family get through this crisis, and every small donation can make a big difference in their lives.

this is the most recent update from siraj @siraj2024, regarding his family of 24 that has been displaced over 7 times since october 2023 and now wishes to return home. siraj tried to fundraise for survival and lost over $27,000 usd when gofundme deleted his family's campaign. not only does he need to recoup this money for daily living costs, but he needs to catch up to the price of fuel which has increased exponentially due to israel's blockade limiting supplies. without a source of income, he turns to the rest of the world for support.

Daily update (66)

The announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza came as news that touches wounds that have not yet healed, as if it were a truce between life and death, and while the world talks about “victories” or “agreements,” we, the people of Gaza, feel the harsh void left by this temporary peace. Yes, the waterfall will stop. Bloodshed, but who will bring back our loved ones we lost!? Who will restore the stolen childhood and the homes that were demolished!?

My message to everyone who watches Gaza from afar: We are not just numbers, we are mothers and fathers, children and dreams, we are a people resisting to survive, a people dreaming of freedom and security, we are Gaza, and our story is not just passing news, but rather an endless humanitarian cry.

I remind you that my family only needs to reach €2,500 in order to afford transportation to return to their original place of residence in northern Gaza and set up a tent there.

✅ The campaign was documented by @nabulsi in Hussein's Google Docs.

The ceasefire does not erase the fact that Israel has committed an urbicide in Gaza.

Bisan Owda has posted multiple videos where she says that the ceasefire does not mean the end of suffering for Gazans-the tent cities, the displacement camps won't vanish, because every single infrastructure has been bombed; even optimistically speaking, it will take months to clear out the rubble. People will still have to spend the summer in the tent, maybe even the winter of 2025 won't see much of a difference. To quote Bisan, this is just a pause in the killing of her people- this is not the end of genocide or colonization from the settler state which had every intention to settle back in Gaza and push Palestinians out into the desert.

I don't know what is going to happen in the coming months, only that this is not the time to stop paying attention. The Nakba never ended and these fifteen months of accelerated genocide has caused much loss and grief. Right at this moment, Gazans are either trying to evacuate or they are trying to return to their destroyed homes and pick up the pieces- now more than ever is the time to stand in solidarity. Please keep supporting in whichever way you can. My friend Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj2024 ) is trying to return to the north of Gaza, he wants to return home. He needs to raise €2500 for transportation and other necessities. Please boost and donate.

€344 euroes left!

Siraj's campaign is barely progressing- with only two donations collected in the last day. Siraj is still in al-mawasi camp in Khan Younis and would like to return home as soon as possible. His sister is sick-so it has not been possible for him to be active on tumblr lately. But please I beg you to not forget Siraj and help him get to 2.5k as soon as possible.

It has been fifeteen hours since the last donation to Siraj's campaign. While many families have been able to return North- Siraj's family is still stranded in al-mawasi camp. It is not possible for his family, for all twenty three of them, to journey back to the North on foot. His sister is sick, Siraj himself is tired because of how poorly he has been sleeping, and there are two newborn babies and elderly family members to consider as well. For close to a week Siraj has been asking for €500 euroes to be able to go home. Please help him, only €429 euroes left to go.

€2071/€2500 of short term goal.

€374 euroes remain. Please keep boosting and donating 🙏🏽

€344 euroes remain to go.

Sadness is deep when we wish others would provide us with help and support in our moments of weakness, but we find ourselves alone in facing difficulties. This feeling can be very frustrating, especially when we need the security and psychological comfort that support provides. In those moments, we wonder why you do not find the sincere words or actions that you were hoping for.

Despite all of this, we still have hope that good people will help us provide transportation to return to our destroyed home in northern Gaza. The short target for this is €2500.
