wyll: heh

lae'zel, impatient: are you thinking again of this "grinning sniler"

would have killed for a conversation between isobel and wyll about their fathers. ketheric thorm and ulder ravengard are interesting foils

ulder sacrifices his beloved child in order to (as he understands the situation) do his duty and protect the people of baldur's gate. wyll understands his father's guiding principles and respects him for them despite the ways in which they've betrayed him personally—and he inherits his father's dedication to defending those who can't defend themselves. on the other hand ketheric thorm sacrifices his duty and his principles and dooms his own people + countless others to the most hideous fate imaginable in order to "protect" his beloved child—which of course disgusts and horrifies isobel because in his obsessed devotion to her he perverts and tortures and destroys everything and everyone she ever cared about including himself

ulder ravengard taxing the patriars' expensive imports of silks and spices in order to reward adventuring party #9424678543568: 😊

I was working on a prospective timeline of Gortash’s life and I wanted to explore some ideas of what Gortash might look have looked like growing up, inspired by the notes in the biography by Vance Farnol and rock eras/sub-genres; design notes are on Patreon (including free members) detailing specific influences. + playlist

And where would he be without his favorite assassin? In my canon, they meet around 8/9 years old and are partners in crime from the start.
