Couldn’t figure out how to make the conversation flow so I’ll explain more at the bottom

So the first time Jamil told Astrid I love you Astrid started crying as all the pent up fears started rising. (They’re in the early stages of dating at this point) Like he gotten what he wanted people that will love him he’s still having trouble receiving love.[ I gotten what I wanted what happens now type thing] Also he fact he doesn’t want to go through another heartbreak

So Jamil is reassuring him that Astrid is a lovable person. But in the doodles Astrid is scared of not being able to say I love you back to Jamil. Like it’s easy for him to go “ oh I love Jamil so much” but directly saying it to Jamil in a more intimate manner is hard.

Jamil knows how much Astrid loves him just by the way he acts with Jamil tho reverting back to the main topic Jamil basically declares that he’ll help Astrid believe without any doubt that he deserves. Astrid is having a many different emotions at Jamil’s words but that Hopefully part in him is trying to shine through.

it's devastating to see the aftermath of the israeli genocide on gaza. an entire city that was a home to two million people has been turned into rubble and made into a mass grave for hundreds of thousands of people.

we maintain hope that gaza will be rebuilt. that her people will return and be able to live with some sense of normalcy despite the events of the last fifteen months.

it's just so surreal to see people believe that the fight for a free palestine is over and that we've 'won'. a ceasefire is a very crucial step but it is the first of many steps in the liberation of palestine.
